Some of the memories in Amnesia were devastating. Especially the more revelatory ones near the end. The twist in Penumbra: Black Plague too. If you've played it... You know which one I'm talking about.

Those and the ending of Half Life 2: Episode 2... But I'm pretty sure that one was meant to be emotional.

*SPOILERS*

The part where you find your mother before she dies in Dragon age 2 was quite emotional and really made me want to crucify Quentin.

The Thousand Years of Dreams sequences from Lost Oddysee made me cry like a little ***** with almost 100% reliability.
while I dont completely agree with the 100%, it was certainly fucking depressing. This is truly the first game I spent drinking to get through because it was so emotionally draining. I do recall one dream sequence that had something to do with an old woman and a little kid and I just broke the hell down sobbing. My brother came out to see what was wrong and thought I broke his xbox, lol.

Metal Gear Solid 4 in the Microwave hallway. I was never really, really attached to MGS, but the week before I just bought MGS 1,2,3, and 4. I didn't realize how fond of Snake I was until that moment and I shed a tear.

There was a scene in Deus Ex where killing someone held some really tangible weight.

It was the scene on the plane, where Anna Navara orders you to kill the leader of the NSF. In the heat of the moment, and without any prompting from the game, I shot and killed her instead. Never before have I been so emotionally immersed in a game as I was at that moment.

Also Final Fantasy VI.

The scene where Celes tries to kill herself was the first time I cried over a game. The hour of gameplay leading up to it was emotionally affecting as it was, but then this kicked in and proved to be the straw that broke the camel's back:

The last shot in Mass Effect 2 (more or so it was an adrenaline rush getting me hyped for ME3 --ME2 is an example of what a cliffhanger ending SHOULD be.)

In Persona 3 and 4 I always feel really bad when I turn down someone's sincere request to hang out for whatever reason. As long as it's someone I like. I have no problems turning down someone like Kenji or Yuko. But if it's someone like Chihiro or Yukari or Yosuke... damn.

"> He seems disappointed..."

Oh, beat me over the head with it.

;_;

Also, the endings to both those games. P4 ended on a bittersweetish but still happy note. P3 was just depressing all the way through. The Answer did not help.

And several scenes from BlazBlue. No one in that series is ever allowed to be happy.
And I always find it hard to pick evil options in games. I must be a goody-goody or I'll just feel bad for all the (virtual) people whose lives I've destroyed/ended.

Never get emotional over games, but it's always a bit hard to choose the "evil" options in moral based games.

Took me a really long time to think about this one but I'd have to say Final Fantasy X where Yuna and the protagonist (can't remember his name) started forcing themselves to laugh. Tears were shed that day. I thought the script was important!

When I lost my scout/archer in civilisation 5. He was my first scout and he got upgraded to a archer by some ruins. Lost him in a stupid way too. I crashed down on barbarians after that.

Bioshock 2: Realizing I had just killed Mark Meltzer. It's kinda surprising because the game gives no special appreciation or cutscene to it, and I'm left looking at a girl that must have been the daughter he gave his life to try and save.

Minecraft also gets it for losing my dog/wolf I had spent a long time with. Creepers seem to take everything in an instant. I sometimes wonder what kind of interest creepers really add to the game. Send em all underground if you ask me.

I had been playing Farcry 2 for the first time awhile ago and was besties with Josip, he'd save my arse when I got in trouble, Give me helpful mission advice and secondary objectives, and was just an overall badarse.
We were inseperable and unstopable.

Then it all went wrong.

We had just finished a mission where I had to burn a greenhouse with Josip providing Air support in a duster, anyway everything was buisiness as usual, Josip got shot down, I had to go save him, same with every other mission.

When I arrived at Josips location I easily dispatched then enemies and saved him, he thanked me then promptly got shot to shit by a patrol out of freaking nowhere (turns out we were standing on a patrol respawn point).

No ammount of Morphine helped, Josip died in my arms.
I can't remember the last time I felt so empty.
I haven't played Farcry 2 since.

I only just got Final Fantasy III (VI) and I only just made it to the Phantom Train.

...

I think that's all I need to say about that.
That's just one of the reasons it's an awesome game. That, and Sabin being able to suplex the damned train. o_O

*SPOILER WARNING*

In Grandia 1, there's a part where the character named Sue departs your party for good. The scene is incredibly emotional and for the most part the game makes you feel attached to Sue up to this point. That's why I always go into manly tears mode when this music hits...

(I dare anyone to listen to this song while thinking about someone special in your life and NOT cry throughout the whole thing.)
I watched it,thought of someone special and no tears 0_O
maybe I just have a heart of stone or something?
but still a very beautiful song
My guess is that you haven't played Grandia 1 before. Otherwise, you would know the irony of your second statement. I figured it was a beautiful enough song to induce tears on its own.
yea no I have not played grandia 1. (would love to though)
and I would like to know the irony of my second statement because this could be bad for me.
