It honestly makes me wonder why the other abilities are there at all. They have such little point, its not even funny.
This is why i always go soldier. I love the powers, don't get me wrong, but, not being able to chain them seems like a very poor design decision when coupled with the fact you lock out weapon types because they have powers. I mean FFS if you are only going to let me use one power per cooldown, at least allow me to use the fucking assault rifle as well. Put a cool down on the soldier's powers, not on the classes that would use them instead of weapons.

OT: In Battlefield 3 - The underhand rail the guns in the assault class come equipped with. There is little to no point in NOT switching it out for a front grip as soon as you can. The only benefit it yields is allowing you to whip out your grenade launcher (should you use one) slightly faster. But you loose that very valuable front grip and you still can't carry a med pack.
I can account for the recoil fine. What I can't account for is that guy who walked through the door as I was reloading. A half second faster swap to my grenade launcher lets me shoot him before I die. Slower, and I die just as I get the launcher out. I personally don't use the forgrip much, and it is especially useless on the AEK or W/E that has no leftward drift (Maybe a tiny bit) and thus can be very easily catered for by aiming a bit to the left so it drifts right and into your target.
The medkit is a larger concern, but I generally survive longer by killing enemies faster than by hiding next to a medkit. When I stay still, enemies tend to find me and kill me. I move, I find and kill the enemies.
I agree that some guns do not need the front grip but plenty of them are much easier to handle with it on. I generally don't use the grenade launcher in the role you place it in in your example so I can see where our opinions conflict. I only ever use it if people are bunkering down certain areas with lots of cover and or poor sightlines all together. Or on maps like Seine Crossing to get some hilarious destruction kills.

Also I get what you mean with the medkit and I use a similar approach to attack you do. But in maps or situations that aren't the one I mentioned before I will elect having a med kit. Not to sit with in a corner some where so the enemy can come knife or shoot me but to throw down at times when it's helpful to me and mostly my team. Certain maps have massive choke-points or popular defend spots in which I toss a health kit and go on my merry way. It's an easy way to rack up points and you help your dominate their positions.

"Be a Legend" Mode on NHL 12. You mine as well just name a custom player "Patrick Roy" or "Gordie Howe" rather than do all the extra crap it takes to unlock them...

I always thought the medium armors look the best.

Adept? Singularity is far better CC than any of the above.

It is the flaw with Bioware imposing the one ability limit. There is rarely a reason to use any but your most potent ability. No great alpha strikes, just one ability, over and over again with a rare variation.
It honestly makes me wonder why the other abilities are there at all. They have such little point, its not even funny.
I recall that as an adept on normal singularity was pretty terrible to use, mainly because upgraded pull/push could instantly kill some enemies while also quickly recharging your only ability use faster. Whereas Singularity just made some enemies float up into the air (Which you would then have to shoot down, but seriously on normal you could have just shot them anyway...)

I find that one dead enemy > one - 4 enemies that still need to be shot. Especially with only being able to use a single ability per cooldown.
Well, I'll trust you there. I never really played a lot of Adept. Personally, disabling 4 enemies so that you can take them down quickly without being shot beats taking down one enemy then jumping into cover so that the other 3 don't kill you, though as I've said I don't play Adept much, so I don't really know which would work best.
Still, adding the shared cooldown was balls. You know what? Scrap the 'Action', 'Story' and 'Adventure' or W/E modes for ME3, add in 'Fun' mode, and 'Balanced' mode. Fun mode, no shared cooldown, you have enough life to strafe out in battle and shoot, but not for too long, you can do a lot of wacky things thanks to your powers (Vanguard Charge: Restore Shield. Vanguard Nova: Detonate shield to deal damage) and the emphasis is on letting you go wild rather than keeping the gunplay balanced. Balanced is the opposite. Shared cooldown, you have the normal life, and you are forced into that meh combat for the sake of a balanced game.
Would make it far more fun IMO.

In BF3 you can attach a flashlight to a sniper rifle.

The flashlight is good for two things. Blinding people at close range and revealing your position at long range.

Think about it.

Worst part is, some people actually use it.
Helps me headshot their dumb asses. Works for me.
OT: Battlefield 3 1x scopes for the long range snipers. I can get the ACOG, but why do they get red dots and holo sights?

why did metallica make "LOAD"...on the subject of games though, why have they not made another VICE CITY game?
If you are on PC they are making a port of sorts with the RAGE engine as a mod called Vice City RAGE.

Why waste army slots and production time on peasants when you could be spending it on decent troops? A half decent economy is easy to get going and then you're no longer limited by cash, you are limited by production time and the number of units you can fit into an army.
To marvel at your own tactical brilliance in defeating an army with nothing but 3 units of peasants and one general. Total War is all about ego, and nothing strokes your ego better than that!

As for my why?... Why can't factions in MMOs talk to each other? Is the smack talk really so bad?

The .32 pistol is Fallout 3. Ammo that is important and no damage. It just makes no sense to even exist.
To expand on this; Fallout 3 had heaps of low-level weapons that were completely useless (tire irons, nail boards, BB guns, etc).
Most of them were for use by low-level enemies. It wouldn't really do to have the map populated entirely by minigun-wielding super mutant masters, so they give a few of them nail boards and nudge them in the direction of their impending doom.

Plus, they can be useful in certain situations. Their abundance makes them absurdly easy to repair, and thus make a good backup weapon in case they break your shiny super sledge.

The "flip stance" button in Mortal Kombat. "Don't like your fighter's chest facing the camera? Turn them around!" I don't know, maybe it *does* do something and I just haven't figured it out. If you guys know something, please tell me but for now all it does is make Scorpion dance.

Also, the forklifts, carts, and trucks in Halo: Reach. I feel like they have some untapped potential that I haven't figured out yet, I know they don't (it's a forklift, what combat capibilities could it possible have?) but I *feel* like they do. At least they're good for a laugh. Ever driven a truck through "The Pillar Of Autumn" in split-screen co-op? Hilarious.

Why can you buy things in Mass Effect 1? I mean, tell me one instance in Mass Effect 1 where you bought a weapon or armour (that isn't Spectre gear) that wasn't almost immediately replaced by stuff you found out on the field until about 3/4 of the way through the game, at which point you rarely found anything better then what you had and just stuck with your indefinitely firing and perfectly accurate weapons. As well, stores seemed to only stock crap anyway.

Also, why does Anderson's head look like a potato?
