Valve or Bioware (maybe)

while they are not my personal favs, valve and bioware churn out well made games, and have a pretty big fanbase.

also, treyarch is gaining fans after the atrocity of MW2. just saying

The Behemoth.
Their fanbase is pretty small, and the majority of people who got their games wanted them, and liked them.

all developers are hated
but valve has never made a bad game so ill say them

EDIT: i want to say bioware but they make alot of RPGs and only recently when EA infected mass effect did bioware start moving toward the shooter audience
even though me and alot of people i know are trying to pull them back

As much as I hate to say it, it's probably Valve. Before anyone starts sending me angry messages what I mean is that they're probably the least hated, but I myself do not think they are the best developer.

I thought Activison was a publisher?
They are, but they own a few developers.
I think Matt Thorson, because next to no-one has ever heard of him.

Who do you think is the world's LEAST hated game developer and why? Based on games made and love for the fan base and the likes. I would vote for Activision, but after they screwed over Infinity Ward they probably lots a lot of fans.
Bioware or Sucker Punch is my guess.

Valve is probably the least hated, but it's also despised by fans in the way only true fans can hate something. The Steam community is notorious for drawn out conversations about Gabe Newell's fatness and the fact that Valve HQ is stuck in a time pocket where it's always 3 AM.

Lots of companies make good games, but I'm going with Valve. They keep their games updated and generally for free. Team Fortress 2 has anything from new maps to small scale bug fixes. In my experience, they tend to keep the games open to modifications unlike other companies that jealously guard their game files. That's amazing work for a company.

Least hated is really a hard question to answer. Take a company like Bioware that only makes WRPGs, and you cut out all the people that don't enjoy RPGs, then cut out the people that play RPGs but don't like WRPGs. Also, obviously a lot of smaller companies are going to be less hated because there is no one to hate them.

How about Interplay/Black Isle? I don't know anyone that hates them.
As Black Isle, they put out some great games. As Interplay, they've released several half finished broken games, with too many bugs too count. The only reason people don't hate them is nostalgia.

OT: Probably Valve or Bioware, they seem the most likely candidates.

The worlds least hated video game developer would be one that is so obscure that very few people know about them. Any big developer has a large number of people that hate them simply because they are popular, regardless of the number of games they create that are of high quality (Blizzard, Valve, Bungie, BioWare, etc.). A small developer wouldn't have that problem since almost nobody knows about them.

If we're talking about the least hated video game developer that is a big name, I'd probably say BioWare. I'm tempted to lean towards Valve but I've noticed far more people hating them than BioWare.
