Valve,I mean, with the way the treat their customers, and the fact they make their games free/absurdly cheap later on.

Valve, obviously. They clearly see their customers as people and not just walking potential revenue sources.

Valve and Bioware. I don't even like Bioware games, but I don't think they are poorly made. It's just not my cup of tea. Valve because they make great games and sell them for low prices, and keep them filled with updates. Modern Warfare 2 gives you 3 new maps and 2 old ones and slaps a $15 price tag on it. Imagine if TF2 made you pay money for Dustbowl and 2fort.

Valve or Blizzard, those are my two favorite. Only two developers that I can say that put REAL effort into their games. Bioware gets a distant 3rd, mostly due to their lack of support of the Mac for games like the upcoming Old Republic, which I REALLY wanna play, but I don't have a PC with enough power to run it. Meanwhile my Macbook Pro runs StarCraft 2 like a champion.

Also, I despise Activision, as many others do and I HATE that they own Blizzard. At least they don't interfere with them TOO much. I'll also never understand why Blizzard with all its cash cows sold out to Activision.

Either Valve or Bioware.

Actually, shouldn't Popcap be here as well? I haven't come across anyone who hates Plants VS Zombies.

Who do you think is the world's LEAST hated game developer and why? Based on games made and love for the fan base and the likes. I would vote for Activision, but after they screwed over Infinity Ward they probably lots a lot of fans.
Activision are the most hated, or my most hated at least.

For the least hated we'd probably be looking at an indie developer. The big devs like Valve and Bioware are loved, but with their popularity comes a lot of hates as well.

Definitely Valve. Other than the fact that they take too long to release games, basically everything Valve does is... well, perfect.

Bioware, Valve and I reckon Relic. Bioware and Valve, in many people's opinions can do nothing wrong except take ages to release a game (which shows a lot of love in itself) and I've never heard any complaints about Relic. Lot of people seem to not hate Rockstar as well.

Premier League devs: Valve.
Lower division/Conference/non-league guys: Stardock, Paradox Interactive, TaleWorlds, any other little bitty indie dev that's all devoted fans trying to preach the gospel to the wider audience.

Your pick.

PS: A LOT of people hate activision
Phew, the only one that I do not hate is Valve from that list...

OT: As I said Valve, as well as Blizzard (PC gamers of course), 2D Boy, Ice Pick Lodge, Team Silent, Creative Assembly, Interplay, Looking Glass Studios and some more that I cannot remember.

Now note that this from a PC gamer viewpoint, it may be a different opinion in console gamers.

Also, only 2 of these are widely known, I recommend you read why the other ones aren't hated and are in fact great developers.

Just Valve now. The orange box is cheap gold, Steam is not too bad and they do some nice things every now and again.
