Lost Oddessy- Where you got locked up aboard the White Boa and you have to get back to your equipment by avoiding annoying robot patrols.
Woah, hivemind.

Anyway, I think they all sucked with the possible exception of the "All ghillied up" mission in COD4.

Resi 2: playing as Sherry, sure its not a REAL stealth bit but you have to avoid zombies and such and it just broke flow immensely

Frontline Fuels of War

it was a decent game but then they drop you into a forest and say "Take these points from the bad guys" then hand you a .50 cal sniper and a pistol

you cant get close enough to use the pistol before you alert EVERYONE and a single shot from the sniper (a very inacurate sniper by the way) will also alert EVERYONE not to mention that you cant pick up enemy weapons and use them

so your stuck as a bad stealth guy in a stealth level in a game that wasnt about stealth in the first place

Neo-Tokyo in Timesplitters 2, never did get past that level.
I have to agree with this, the following part lasted about half an hour, and once you get inside it isn't even that great. Siberia, Robot Factory and Atomsmasher are much better stealthy wise. (well, they're pretty much the best levels in the game)

Shadows of Rome. Most of them were okay, but seriously, you go from "butt-kicking hardcore gladiator" guy to "scream like a pansy when the guards see me" scholar.

Fable. You were forced to use stealth in one place (only one place). If you fail - the gate is closed and you have to wait 1 min to start all over again.
It's just stupid to put (a very badly made) stealth in a game, where all you run and mash one button to kill everything.
You just had to use a bow to headshot the 3 bandits.
I never actually tried sneaking past them.

One of the CODs, the one where you were the Russians sneaking through the pipe, and the Nazis shot at you. God that was pointless, they shot up the same bits, you had to learn them and pace yourself trial-and-error style.

Bah

Worst forced stealth section? ...Well, I can think of entire games where the stealth didn't work terribly well (*cough*Velvet Assassin*cough*) but I think the stealth section that takes the cake for this is Indigo Prophecy. That game seem determined to shit all over itself in places. oO

I loved the stealth sections in Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask, even if they were completely unnecassary. As far as the question goes... I think Pokemon can be considered to have a couple of stealth sections; that is when you have really low hp on your last pokemon and try to avoid being seen by trainers.

Phantom hourglass, Fable and the bit in mgs3 where you have to escape a prison with no clothes, items or camo. I know you could say that all of MGS is sneaking but in mgs3 and 4 you can win just be shooting everybody in the head when you have weapons.
Oh god, that bit. And all you're armed with is a fork and the revolver if, by random chance, you find it.

The Getaway-during Frank O'Conner's mision you have sneak your way into a warehouse. But thanks to the trial and error twins you would have to do that part over and over
This. A million times this. Possibly the most frustrating thing on Earth were the stealth levels in the Getaway.

Oh yeah, I've done that a few times myself, it's not fun.

WindWaker's was only annoying the first time, when you really wanted to do some sailing and dungeon crawling. In subsequent playthroughs, when you expect it, you just see it as another bit of the game.

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. Ugh. You have to keep one guy in your sight and not let him see you. Problem is, your line of sight is like 10m in front of you.

Indigo Prophecy. Its like they were determined to make the most bat-shit insane game of all time
