Keeping in mind that any "worst games" thread is going to be highly subjective (some folks hated Oblivion, but to me it's a top 10 all time favorite, and you might feel that way about some of my least favorite games)...
Cities XL. A complete disaster, as every design decision was made with a mind toward getting players of a city builder to sign up for an online community that had the same price as a World of Warcraft subscription but not a shred of new content. It was merely the right to trade resources with other players---and trying to do the same in singleplayer from the AI's world market meant paying them a dollar for a dime's worth of goods. Absolutely the worst game in recent memory and one of the worst games of all-time. Cities XL 2011 is poor-to-mediocre because at least the game's economy is self-contained. But the original was absolutely disgustingly bad.
The Witcher. I told you this was subjective. But I found the story insipid, the characters dull, and the combat to be a shining reminder of why I hate Bioware's Aurora engine with every ounce of my gamer's soul (and why I ultimately didn't like KOTOR either.)
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. I hate to slag on this game because I can acknowledge and respect the good craftsmanship that went into it. It's well-designed. It's also fucking depressing and WAY too bleak for my tastes. I just flat-out didn't enjoy it.
