The grass starter is pretty decent but the water starter....Just ugh...Clown otters are a no no. *sigh* This is why I never pick the water starters. They always look stupid.

I stopped liking the new pokemon around third generation. You could imagine most of the first and second generation pokemon behaving rather like animals. They just had that sort of vibe, I guess, I don't know. But once I saw Blaziken that was it. There's something about 3rd generation onward. They just all look like digimon or something. There was pretty definite change in art direction, in any case.

*raises hand* I don't even know if I'll continue giving Nintendo money for it. Its slowly losing its charm for me with the *coughgodawfulcough* new Pokemon artwork and the lack of compelling story. For all of 4th gens cool music and good intentions, it didn't impress me and I really doubt 5th gen will blow me away. It may very likely chase me away.Kimarous said:

The grass one is okay but fire one is just really bad especally in comparison to cinaquil or charmander. And the water one is bad. Someone pointed out the form of the water one is almost exact to piplup. Even the color scheme is similar. Bad. I was hoping that zora guy was going to be a starter he looked badass. Totally kills the deal man.
The one on the right looks like a piplup bibarel, the grass looks similar to treecko, but I think it's the most original of the three, and the fire one looks like a fire spoink bidoof.
