Weapon degradation. It was fine in Fallout 3, where I could easily repair, but in other games (Silent Hill Origins) it was almost game breaking.

Unless your using a rare weapon. I hate weapon degradation. It's never been a good thing to add to a game.

The anti-piracy methods for Earth 2160. You have to use your serial number, put it in, AND THEN REGISTER OVER THE FUCKING PHONE.
Unfortunately for me, since I have moved and upgraded quite a few times with my computer, when I put in the serial number, it doesn't fucking work online. So I call up the company to put in my code, it turns out, they aren't there anymore to register!

I know it's not ideal, but Good Old Games has Earth 2160 for sale at only $5.99 (it also has 2140 and 2150), DRM free. If you can't find another way to sort it, that might help

I understand that they, and Steam have the game for $5.00, but it just infuriates me that the developers abandoned it. What makes me downright livid is that they said they would release a patch, so that you wouldn't have to register over the phone!

Q: In a few years, the support for Earth 2160 could be gone - this would make activation impossible - so how can I keep playing the game then?

This pisses me off to no end in Fallout 3. There is a mod I've been meaning to try out when I have access to my PC again. Let's just say it involves Little Lamplight and a the Ripper weapon.

Except that it has already happened quite a lot in some old games (Fallout 1 and 2 being the best example I can think of), and yet here Fallout 1 and 2 stand, unbanned.

TF2 as medic, every one is on fire and has 100 hp left, I have 20. I run to a healing kit and the next thing I know, a demoman steps on who is not even on fire. I die and every one is yelling at me why did I not heal them, including the demoman.

In Left 4 Dead, when i'm just running along i have two regular zombies hitting me - it slows me down and i can BARELY move. How does slapping and hitting a person cause them to stop dead in their tracks? I can understand a horde of zombies gathering around you can do some damage but 1-2 zombies? REALLY?

Why don't I come to your house, start hitting you, and see how much you can get done?

Ahahaha, but seriously that is realism for you. See I have always been against any kind of realism in games because even a little can lead to really stupid ideas, and they are coming from people who aren't on drugs so that is scary.

I guess, going along with the topic of this thread, my main source of rage in games is realism. I want to be able to jump off a building and land without taking any damage. I want to be able to run though a room, eat up all of the bullets that come my way, and still survive to kill every one in that room. Doing stuff that normally wouldn't happen is fun, cool, and the main reason for why I play video games and watch movies.

Snipers.

I HATE snipers so much. I don't care that most FPS players like being snipers. Its the least skilled way to play any FPS. Try actually playing the game instead of hiding in a little hill keeping your mouse at the same spot where you know someones head will always be at regardless of how you enter.

not true sniping is one of the hardest classes of FPS for you have to find a hiding spot chainge after 1 shot never get seen and be a good and fast aim

Poor level design.
I hate it when I spend more time in a level looking for where I need to go or finding what I need to move ahead than I spend actually fighting or solving puzzles.

Graphical limitations. In Saint's Row 2, to name a specific.
It lags so bad it's fucking impossible to drive any type of land vehicle on my PC (which I suppose is a bit of a lunch box.). And if they ask me to shoot WHILE driving? That's hell. It's a good thing they included a coop in that game.


Less specific would be melee weapon degradation. Unless it's spread out extremely far (maybe every 200 hits), or it's very easy to fix or replace, it makes no sense that a samurai sword snaps in half after hitting like 10 hits.

I suppose gun degradation makes sense on the positive side, Far Cry 2 did it okay (guns could be replaced for free at gun shops), but not melee weapons.

Timed underwater escort missions, with bad camera, shitty controls, and an annoying sound that plays every 2 seconds when your air is low. (Also, your escortee has half as much air as you do and slows you down immensely compared to when you came through this section alone.)

Also, mines that take up 1/2 your health when hit and are textured with almost the same fucking color as the surroundings. (Also, unskippable five minute cutscene before the start of the section that you have to sit through each time you fail, plus another after you finish the section that sets you up for another underwater escort section.)

I absolutely hate being the only Medic on my TF2 team. Being swarmed with 15 constant cries for healing, especially from people with full health, irritates me.

Also, I hate players who expect that just because I'm healing them, that I will follow them to their suicide rush. A good Medic heals all the teammates he can, not just focus on one, with some exceptions.
