More seriously I was once accused of being gay in Highschool because I wasn't having sex with girls starting in grade 10 like the other guys were. I dunno, maybe I didn't want to be tied down forever with a girl I had no interest in?

I did end up getting a girlfriend for a little bit so the rumors that I had sex with my best friend kind of vanished. Hated every moment of that being the topic of discussion.

I went to a party once, my first one since before they were about alcohol. I didn't drink but I did discover that acting drunk around people who are drunk makes the whole situation more fun. Anyway, we were nearing the end of grade 12 at that stage and when I returned to school I was greeted by a couple of people saying I got drunk the other night. I denied it and asked who was spreading the rumour.

Turns out it was some guy who I didn't know terribly well and who wasn't even at the party. I'm sure everyone's forgotten it now but it really ticked me off because I took great pride in the fact that I don't drink and everyone knew me to be the goody-goody, and I was happy with that. I don't know why, most things generally roll off my shoulders but when people start accusing me of being this and that (mostly on the internet) I feel the need to set the record straight. Thankfully, apart from that, no-one's really spread rumours or lies about me and i haven't (yet) encountered any glaring generalisations about me.

I can't wait for the day I hold the door open for an extreme feminist and she starts yelling at me.
