Grenades. I HATE grenades. They're just so damn inaccurate, especially since I'm not actually aiming and throwing like I would in the real world and instead just pressing a button. That's why I never use them.

One time use items. I almost always hold onto them "for emergencies", and end up never using them.

Aiming
I just like to fire until my enemies are mixed with the wallpaper, and my choice in weaponry reflects this.

In many RPGs, I never use short-term buffs on my party. I'm not sure why. I know that they are balanced to be beneficial, but I just never think of them.

RPGs: Traps. I prefer running a sword through my enemies.

Old-school FPSes: Rocket launchers or any other "BFG." I hoard them for hard enemies, then I forget about them and beat the game with the regular guns anyway.

Newer FPSes: Any weapon that has a long reload time. I'm a compulsive reloader, so these weapons often spell doom for me.

Racing games: Vehicles with good speed, but terrible handling. I prefer taking turns and corners easily over going fast on straight stretches.
