What are some things you cant live without in Dragon Age: Origins?
Anything from armor to party members to spells
For me it'd have to be my dog and Cone of Cold ;o

EDIT: Does anyone know where the automatic screenshots save on PC?

My very old stick. Dog found it for me. Also stonefist. My cold spells aren't very effective without it.

EDIT: Btw, if anyone can answer this:
I went to the bercillian woods and free'd the werewolves, I didnt unlock Arcane Warrior, have I missed my shot at unlocking it now?
To answer spoiler question: probably yeah, the only part of the game where touching glass phylacterys gets you somewhere other than a fight.

OP: I think the templar armour I got for Allistar. One word: Tower.

Also, Morrigan, need I say more, right guys?
I went for Leliana for my Hot Lesbian Elf Chick(tm), so I'd have to say no, not right :p

I couldn't live without Alistair and Morrigan. Their exchanges keep me playing :D

I'm going for Shen, Shale and Leliana for my next play though. I'm gonna try a Dwarf Noble.

EDIT!

Who is this Shale? ;o
Shale is a follower from The Stone Prisoner - a War Golem with free will and an intense hatred of pidgeons.

Glyph of Paralysis + Glyph of Repulsion

And all the Spirit healer spells as well saved my ass very often, provided I kept a healthy stock of a million Lyrium potions.

As for arcane warrior, find a shopkeeper who sells the book, quick save, buy the book, load, and specialization unlocked for free. (I think it's the elven shopkeeper that sells it, as a matter of fact.)
What would the books name be?

Very Old Stick? ;o
Yep. I almost put Dog down when he brought me that. Then I looked at the stats and gave Dog a nice bone. The only staff I have found that is better so far is "the final reason" and I am way to low of a level to even think about that. It looks like Morrigans starting staff. I wish I could get a good screenshot of it since no one has it listed anywhere. When I play later I'll take a crappy pic with my camera and post it.

I do believe it's possible to head back after you've finished the story to unlock it. If not, make a second save, reload a previous one (you have made a previous one, right?), unlock Arcane Warrior on that save and then go back to your main one. Specialisations unlock across all saves and playthroughs so you can do a load/reload trick. This also works for buying specialisation books from vendors. Save, buy a book, reload and you'll have the specialisation unlocked plus the money you would have spent on it.

Who is this Shale? ;o
Stone Prisoner DLC party member. She's a Stone Golem. Yes, it's a She.

As for me, gotta be Leliana. I can't stand not bringing her along. Definitely preferable to that slag Morrigan or Mr. fucks-everything-that-moves Zevran.

There isn't a book for Arcane Warrior. Gotta do the quest. It should still be available even after you've finished the Werewolf quest chain, but if not, see my 'load up save' trick.

Check again to see if you can find the Phylactery after the quest is complete. I'm fairly certain you should still be able to do it.

If not, the fastest way would be to make a new character and head straight to the Dalish Elves after Lothering, then get it there.

As a future note, you should really start making separate saves just in case for this sort of thing.

Im guessing I cant get it as any class other then a mage?
And where in the ruins is the Phylactery? I explored the entire inside and didnt find it.. Is it in a locked chest?

The female party members are great. Leliana was good choice for the first romance option. Nice and easy to flirt with. Morrigan on the other hand is a roadblock of challenging replies. Though in the end I think I like Morrigan more.

Also, Zefran is awesome. He's got the mind of a little kid. He once wanted to leave the party and I asked, "But what about all the treasure?" It convinced him to stay.
