The hardest game ever was a demo I had for the PS2. It was a bit like Super Monkey Ball, but in stead of a monkey in a ball you had an inflatable beach ball and you had to get it around a set course by tilting the course itself. I can't remember it's damn name, but it was bloody impossible.

I will say God Hand. Even on the easier difficulty setting, that game will eat you alive.

I found it to be very balanced, and by balanced I mean, the game assumes you're fucking god, but it never pulls any dick move on you, at least not one you dont see coming
As I've told people before (in a post on the very same page as yours..), CoD4 was the easiest CoD game I've ever played, War Room no exception. The Favela mission seems to treat people very differently, and for me it was the most annoying, impossible and hate-filled mission in any FPS ever.Valkyrie101 said:

The first time for me was Kingdom Hearts because when you fight Riku being possessed by Ansem close to the end, he is SO overpowered. I know many who have had trouble with him. I gave up and wouldn't play the game for a year because of how annoying it was.
CoD4:1 The post credits level on the hardest difficulty, Ive never completed it, after days of trying. Best I can manage (and Ive got to this lots) is 1-2 seconds to late.
Seriously, if you stop moving forward AT ANY POINT you run out of time, this INCLUDES stopping to reload, if you run out of bullets you either melee while moving forward or pick up a new gun, but at the same time the difficulty is such that taking more than 1 or 2 bullets without hiding behind a wall for a bit is death.
Other than that, Ninja Gaiden.
