Your thread prompted a guy to post something put up a story about his friend's employer, an "urban" (quotation marks obviously meaning "black" by the poster) supermarket, lining all the watermelon up at the front of the store and having to constantly refill the bins. He also mentioned that the store does a majority of its business during the first few days of the month.

What does that make you think of? What's funny about it? What are you mocking? What's not racist?

Also, what's the point of this asinine exercise? "HAHA, this country club by my house rejected a black family the other day. LOL!"

I think my problem lies with you, since I don't think a thread purporting to "laugh at racism" can serve any possible positive ends. Unless every person posting in it is a genuine victim of racism looking to vent or what have you.

So you are, I assume, a person of color who can identify and speak on behalf of all other persons of color and victims of racism to determine precisely what has the capacity to hurt and offend?

As someone who has been the victim of racism, I don't think it's funny to dredge up old stories just to laugh at them. I don't think they're funny, and I especially don't think white people should "mock" them as if they are innocent of any racism or prejudice. So cut it out.
