As somebody who doesn't play WoW I only really understood the last half when they weren't talking about what players have done in game, just stuff related to the actual game. Don't really like the design of this though. Seems a bit cluttered.
As much as I want to hate this comment and flame it... I'm going to have to agree from my experience in games. Namely EVE Online. Yes, I know, I know, I know that it's a huge generalisation, and hence I'm going to say that I'm aware of this, and I know that it doesn't apply for all women. And that it will apply to some men too. But from what I've seen, nearly all women in EVE expect better treatment, people going out of the way to help them, making them ah igher priority to repair, letting them do whatever they want etc and what's worse is that most peopel fall for it and do give them this undeserved extra importance.frjiolefrito said:Women can't play wow. It's not that wow is HARD on women it's that women expect you to carry her weak night/blood elf priest heals through your heroic. Oh they can have a druid, priest, shaman, and a deathkinght alt... but YOU ask them to move out of the fire? Forget it. Then they are like oh gosh why are you guys so mean!!! Yah because we treat you like we would anyone else. I know! I know! I'm supposed to like you cuz half the guild talks seksy time with you? Some of the females flirt with everyone than get mad when feelings are hurt. I'm amazed multiple fatties like their 5'2 260 pound pasty bum.
I believe they count the amount of subscriptions. Meaning they count how many accounts are active and paid for. To give an example, back in 2008 WoW peaked at 12 million subscription and as you can see those numbers have gone down a bit since then.voorhees123 said:How many of those are multiple accounts for one person? Or closed accounts? Or those opened just to play the free month?
So, the only reason, say, EQ2 didn't do as well (which came out the week or two before WoW did) was because, what? Everyone just clearly went with the inferior product? I understand if you just don't enjoy WoW, but calling it mediocre just doesn't make any sense to me. Compared to what?Clive Howlitzer said:Its the most mediocre game to ever achieve such success! All because of the name. It'd be interesting to see the exact same game released but by another company under another name. I bet it would have disappeared long ago.
I found the experience to be mediocre. I should have prefaced it by stating that it was my subjective experience. I had vastly more fun in City of Heroes. I also tried EQ2 and I thought it sucked also. I'd say WoW was far superior to EQ2.mattaui said:So, the only reason, say, EQ2 didn't do as well (which came out the week or two before WoW did) was because, what?
