Well, if it's to save the entire human race I suppose we could let you wear that...

Wait, no I mean "OK! You keep wearing that combination with pride. Don't let people tell you that that colour combination doesn't work because the grey contrasts with the burgundy horrifically even if it is only pinstripes! Who says "

Sorry, it probably does work, but in my mind's eye, without a very clever choice of shirt, that doesn't seem to go. Of course, in my mind's eye everyone looks awful unless they're wearing exactly what I tell them to because I'm an awful, awful person.

What shades of black, grey and burgundy are they?
A dark black (Shut up about pleonasms, this is actually a thing) with charcoal grey might work with an especially dark burgundy, but it's all rather iffy.

Must we also embrace the power of the suit, or is there another way to save humanity from extinction available to those of the fairer sex?
[sub]I ask 'cause I'm not sure I could pull off a suit.[/sub]

Read the OP again, ladies can also suit up.

Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
Like I said, I would, but if I can't pull it off then it will be suitably un-awesome and the A.W.E.S.O.M.E-beam could be severely hampered!
Lives are at stake here, bro! Do you want to just let the bropocalypse happen?

Are you sure about that?

heh, ok. convinced^^
i just have a natural aversion to suits (wearing them that is. i'm fine with other people being suited up^^), since sometimes being forced to work in them (on the side as a waitress in some higher class clubs). i'd still prefer dresses for their femininity (is that even a word?) but i guess i could be convinved to wear one if the fate of men depended on it..

<----- Tada!

And I wear mine with Converse. Don't feed me to the Rancor, it's not "ironic" - it's kind of a nod to Tennant's Doctor Who. And I grew out of my suit-y shoes. :(

If he can do it, I damn well can.

Well fine! Be that way. Pajama suit up! Screw you world, I'm going back to bed.

OT: irl I don't even own a suit, these were just words I cobbled together after a quick google search :p

Time Lords are exempt from the rules.

He can do it because he's awesome. Your awesomeness has yet to be confirmed. More tests are needed.

Good sir,

It is my humble request that you R.S.V.P. forthwith as, with all honesty, it is my prerogative and thereby my obligation to inform you that the only suit I am capable of wearing with any conviction and integrity is a black Victorian morning suit with a black bowler, solid brass monocle and silver pocket watch.

I am merely informing you of this as to clarify whether this is indeed what you had in mind when proposing this correspondence in regards to the welfare of our fair planet and its repulsion of the cosmic invaders with the application of our combined apparel choices as this is indeed the only suit I am in possession of. For the sake of clarification I shall reiterate my previous inquiry; does my stately attire meet the standards you require to fend off these rapscallions?

Yours sincerely.

Shit, I may have insisted I was a time lord... but I'm not a jedi.

*The Rancor looks on hungrily*

However, I feel confident.

I suppose it will have to do. But please, try to put more effort into your posts next time.

I, personally, have the choice of three suits. Two off-the-rack numbers and a rather nice hand made number I had done last time I was in Bangkok.

Of the the three I would chose the handmade suit because it fits me better and even my old boss was impressed by it, you got to love work parties ;)

Grey Armani jacket and slacks. Black pinstriped button-down, open collar with no tie. And red sunglasses.

Good sir, nothing beats the Traditional Top Hat and Tails (TTHaT). Preferably with a monocle and cane combination. However, for maximum effectiveness the monocle must be made of purified volcanic glass, ground to specifications only attainable by the monks that live atop the GLORIOUS CLIFFS OF DOVER! Such a monocle will amplify my Britishness level ten fold, thus increasing my TTHaT power.

However, the cane must be made of the wood of the Blood Drinking Ebony Tree, found only in the darkest depths of the Amazon. Combined with a headpiec, the crystallised blood of King Arthur, the cane will act as a focus allowing the power of the suit to be fed into our Accumulated Weaponised Entropic Super Ocular Mesmerising Ether-beam.

Without the cane, the sheer power of such a combined ensemble would flay the wearers soul. Indeed, I am wary of donning these particular Garments of Power. But others will be doing the same, facing the same risks and a proud Briton would never flee in the face of danger, especially when their bretheren of the world stand united against the dastardly alien foe!

Cry havoc! And let slip the Threads of War!

Woooah there. David Tennant can do many things mere mortals cannot, such as walk on water, turn water into wine, raise the dead and resurrect himself fifteen hours after he sacrificed himself for our sins (They bumped it up to three days in the novelization though) so I'd think carefully before attempting such a feat. It may well save your life one day.

Bonus points for having such dedication to the art of suiting up as to make it your avatar though.
