ALL PRAISE CORTEZ FOR HE IS RISEN!!!

Im a little worried about the idea of it on the CryEngine as the cartoony aesthetics are a big part of what make TimeSplitters so awesome for me so heres hopeing they manage to maintain the look/sound/feel.

My favourite francise is coming back... its a good day... *weeps liquid pride*

I'd rather them do a new campaign since those were the best parts, but I guess I'll play this a bit to show Crytek there's interest.

I was unbelievably excited until I actually read what they're making. The only parts of the game that I really care about are the campaigns and the amazing map editor. It doesn't sound like they're recreating the map editor...

Praise the simian lord! We get a new Timesplitters game!

I'm so hype for this. Ever since I bought Timesplitters 2 and Future Perfect on PS2, I just couldn't get enough of the series and have been eagerly waiting another entry.

Glad to see that the fans haven't been left out it the cold.

And I'm kind of glad that they're focusing on multiplayer. That was easily one of the best part of Future Perfect for me. Playing multiplayer with a friend with bots on is one of my favorite past times.

EDIT: How was I ninja'd with M. Bison? T~T
I never played much of future perfect, wasn't much of a fan.

With that being said, the infection mode in TS2 was the best, and the TS1 maps were pretty good too.

Hopefully they bring back the easy-to-use level creator too.

No campaign? Meh....
No coop modes? Double meh, this and campaign was 50% of my timesplitters experience and is how id introduce my friends who aint played it before to the game before letting them loose in multiplayer with no context.

Im cautiously excited, will see how the final result turns out.

I can't wait to get my hands on it. It will run on an Intel HD4000 right?

This is an awesome bit of news, however I'm not getting my hopes up considering how much Crytek has endlessly teased the fans. So I'm sure the CEO will retire or something then hit the fangame with a C&D and whatever else they can manage.

Think positive Snot: Well I hope it comes out and I wish the fan-devs the best of luck.

Anything that gets me back into the body of a monkey running around with two shotguns knocking out people's kneecaps at high speed has INSTANT approval from me.

This is actually more than what I was hoping for and this doesn't come around often. Thank you fellow fans of timesplitters who helped make this happen.

Coop and Campaign are roughly the same thing for this series, anyway so if the one arrives, so does the other. And that they want to focus on the MP first is kind of understandable as that won't require tons of cut-scenes, voice-acting, ect... Just the 300 characters, a bunch of voice-acting and that's about it (well, maps, weapons and gamemodes, too... but you know what I mean)

Best part. If this game does really well. Then we may see a number 4. :)

Actually if Crytek doesnt want to make a game, why cant they just sell it to a studio that does?

Why do I have this horrible feeling that Crytek will use this reader's digest version of the previous games to justify a decision not to make any REAL Timesplitters games?

And why do I feel like the aiming will be the generic PC 'crosshair locked to centre' style, insteead of the classic 'crosshair moves in the direction you look' style that... you know... Timesplitters has always been loved for?

This news pleased me greatly! Look like I've found the FPS I've been looking for to play on my PC (still haven't played an FPS game since I built my new pc).
