They shalt have to remove the controller from my dead hands. In which case I shalt still fight back in zombie form. So no you're never too old to be a gamer.
Can't say much about chronic injuries from hand tools (keep an eye out for class action lawsuits) but Reaction Time should only significantly decrease in Senescence... that mean when you become senile like when you are in you 80's or 90's.mikozero said:i'm 39
as a result of a career in which i use compression hand tools a lot have problems with my hands and in addition i'd be a lier if i said my reaction times are as good as they were when i was younger.
so ye i fail at "twich" gaming in several forms that i used to really enjoy being good at
this has led to me bemoaning the increasing focus on PvP in many genres where basically i have to go up against those much younger than myself and their damn fresh nervous systems *shakes stick*
i think as gaming becomes more a part of society as gamers of my generation and below age hopefully we might see an appreciation that not everyone can play "twich" dependant games to the fullest and hopefully alternatives will be made available so as not to exclude a large potential market (turn based gaming for example which has fallen out of favor in recent years)
after all it happens to everyone eventually.
no one is eternally "sharp" and a great many games rely on you being so in order to allow you to progress.

hell no, till the day i die, i will play video games and love them (granted by the time i stop being able to take care of myself..ill just pull my own plug, so probably another 50 years id say)starocean13 said:So I just turned 20 a week ago and have been gaming for as long as I can remember and I dont ever plan on stopping. My dad's 47 years old and is a gamer (and I mean like God of War, Grand Turismo and Halo, not Peggle and Bejewled) and has been way longer than I. So my question is this, do you guys that you really ever get to old to play video games?
