I could fill this list with just five grunge bands, but I'll try not to do that.

5. Kenny Chesney
4. Mumford And Sons
3. Smashing Pumpkins
2. Soundgarden
1. Alice in Chains

with honorable mentions to Owl City, 3 Doors Down, Nickelback (shut up), Men at Work, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, and Garth Brooks.

Social Distortion
The Postal Service
Stars
Death Cab for Cutie
The Wombats

It'll probably change next month, lol.

1. Drive-By Truckers
2. Tokyo Police Club
3. Dawes
4. Two Door Cinema Club
5. Scrabbel AND the Postal Service

Two for number 5 because neither seem to be releasing new material. Also, I was surprised at how easy picking 1-4 was.
Yeah, we're never getting a new The Postal Service album, Ben Gibbard seems so apathetic about the thing, it almost makes me hate him...

It's pretty much impossible for me to pick any order, as my favorite band changes on a daily basis. Either way, my current favorite bands are:

Agalloch
Persefone
Skyfire
At The Gates
Devin Townsend (Various works, such as Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend Band, Devin Townsend Project)

There are honorable mentions to Emperor, Bal-Sagoth, Rush, and Cynic.

2. Jimi Hendrix Experience
3. The Doors
4. The Killers
5. The Beatles

The Beatles are probably going to get replaced by Foster the People soon, though, once I hear another album from them.

Pink Floyd
Queen
Blue Oyster Cult
The Protomen
ummm....idk about a fifth. At this moment I'm tempted to say "Odd Future" if a rap collective counts as a "band" by thread's standards. Or maybe Ghost, but it's too early to tell for them.

Screw it, I'll just say Black Sabbath.
