Christ, I'm bad at this. Oh well.

1. The Room
2. Inception (I know, but it was fun and intelligent. You don't get that nowadays.)
3. Casino Royale (I recently heard the one word to describe it perfectly- satisfying.)
4. The Big Lebowski (Yeah, well it's just like, my opinion, man.)
5. Primer (Because it really made my head hurt.)

1. The Godfather Part One.
2. Labyrinth. (David Bowie, nuff said)
3. Kung Fu Hustle. It's like Kung Pow but a bit wackier.
4. Joes Apartment. Sure it's an MTV movie but the singing cockroaches are awesome.
5. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

Props to movies like Sin City, the shit load of Pixar Movies (haven't seen a bad one yet) and Princess Bride (Andre the Giant? Yeehaw!)

1. Fight Club
2. Watchmen
3. V For Vendetta
4. Pulp Fiction (this should actually be number one, but in true Pulp Fiction style, I'm fouling up the order a bit)
5. Sherlock Holmes

Number 5 is debatable. I mean, I might like Black Swan or A Clockwork Orange more, but really, I don't see myself watching them over again any time soon.

5 Pulp Fiction
4 No Country For Old Men
3 Hanna
2 Shaun of the Dead
1 Black Swan

It's hard for me to do this with out half a million honorable mentions. I'll try and restrain my self.

12 Angry men
Princess Bride
11:14
Hard Candy
Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (Can't fucking wait for the David Fincher version)
American Beauty

Any of the honorable mentions could take the #5 spot depending on how I feel at the time. but 1-4 are pretty consistently my favorite movies.

1. There Will Be Blood. I dont need to explain myself. Its just that good.

2. Taxi Driver. Again, for obvious reasons.

3. True Grit. The acting is great, it is side crackingly funny in places, the story is a simple but nice one, and the end made be cry like a baby.

4. Das Boot Directors Cut. Each time I get up after watching it I am for some reason covered in blood, sweat and motor oil even though I never left the couch. It is INTENSE. If you ever want to get rid of someone, just give em a cup of coffee and make them watch this movie. Heart attack inbound.

5. The Big Lebowski. Because this aggression will not stand, man. All I wanted was a new rug, and I ended up with this movie.

90000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001. Gangs Of New York. I despise this fucking movie and I despise that DiCaprio dude.

Honorable mentions:

Casino
Blow
Alien
Apocalypse Now
American Psycho
Fish Tank (!!!!)
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight
Sunshine
Breaking Bad avatar- 10 points

The Big Lebowski- 10 points

Das Boot- 10 points

True Grit- 10 points

I think that's enough. You my friend, are awesome. The escapist consistently shocks me with its fine taste of movies.

Just out of curiosity, do you prefer the DC or the miniseries? Also, fuck me, that ending leaves me incapable of speech...(!) I mean seriously, when I finished watching it for the first time, I couldn't talk for about an hour, I was in a state of (mild) shock!

Fantasia (1940) - Most creative animation I've ever seen, covers a lot of genre's, inspired me to get into drawing and classical music.
Don't you just love 'the Soundtrack'... and when you watch 'Night on a Bare Mountain' as a six year old, it sure creeps you out...

1: The Princess Bride - I don't care what people say, this movie has it all. Comedy, action, great characters, drama, romance, well cheesy romance, but the whole movie is cheese to a good extreme.
And Peter Falk!!

So many to choose from, but I´ve made up my mind and picked out some of the the big list.

5: Napoleon Dynamite. Gets better every time I watch it.
4: Flåklypa Grand Prix. First movie I ever saw. Funny, enjoyable and 100% animatronics-stop motion.
3: It´s a tie! Dracula (1931) and Nosferatu (1922) I love old movies, but I could not make up my mind on which of theese I like the most.
2: The Trollhunter. I laughed my breath away when I saw this on the premiere. Saw it later and laughed just as good.
1: Ed Wood. I searched far and wide for this movie for about 1 year, before I finally found it. Love it <3

The Soundtrack part always makes me smile, and I always laugh when it does that low trumpet note.

The first time I saw it I was about 11, and I was just in aw then, and I'm still amazed now. Favourite parts are The Rite Of Spring and Night on a Bare Mountain (or was it Bald Mountain?).

1: Kara no Kyoukai (Paradox Spiral if I need to pick one of the 7 and not count it as one really long movie)
2: Katanagatari (Again, 12 if I need to pick one of them)
3: Never Ending Story
4: Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works (Far prefer the game but I'll take it where I can get it)
5: Hunchback of Notre Dame

Now if you are a jerk and won't let me count what amounts to a glorified movie length anime episode...

1: Never Ending Story
2: Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works
3: Hunchback of Notre Dame
4/5: Scott Pilgrim, Inception, The Illusionist, Memento, Serenity, Old Boy, Little Big Soldier? (Pick 2?)

I think...
There is a lot of movies that I want to say belong here but I can't fit all of them. I'm already cheating as it is.

The whole segment makes me grin, because it starts with the Soundtrack being all nervous and shy, and the first 'sound' it gives almost makes it sound petulant (like blowing a raspberry).

...

So going to watch it now!

I think you're right, it is 'Bald Mountain'. My favourite bit is actually the Stokowski Transciption of the Toccata and Fugue... though to be fair, they're all brilliant. Don't get cartoons like that these days! *nostalgic sigh* ...!!
