We're not sure what's going on, either... but consider our interest piqued.

Hmmmmmm... Interesting premise, kind of reminds me of Splinter Cell: Double Agent, but I am not doing anything on the matter until I see some gameplay.

Could be promising. Info on the series seems a little thin on the interwebs (or I'm just looking in the wrong place) so hard to judge.

Omg, the president of the USA now works as a newsreader- she's aged well i must say.

On topic: Looks like another video game which follows the "American dystopia" trope. Hope they do something interesting with it.

Mediocre post production and campy costume design, smells like command and conquer to me, but with the state the last C&C was in we all know that isn't true. I'll keep tabs on this and check it out if not for the actual game but just to actually read about the direction the developers are taking.

As strange as this might sound, this doesn't impress me all that much. To be honest we've been seeing retreads of "horrible, oppressive Orwellian futures" and people needing to fight the goverment for their freedoms for a very long time now. It's so clique that it's hard to look at the premise in any light other than to go "meh".

It might be interesting if they decided to take a more balanced approach to the subject matter. That is to say make as many arguements for those limits on freedom, as they do against them. Perhaps instead of having evil tyrants running everything in some shadow conspiricy, maybe the people behind it all are actually very good, and well intentioned, by the same token maybe a lot of the freedom fighters are complete twits.

I'm thinking mostly in terms of story potential here, I mean the obvious way to do things is with the poor, oppressed, good guys, and the evil tyranical establishment. The only problem is that we've all seen THAT story a thousand times.

I'm thinking in terms of the graphic novel "V For Vendetta" as opposed to the way they modified it for the movies. In the graphic novels Mr. Susan was actually well intentioned and really did make life better for the vast majority of people. "V" wasn't so much a freedom fighter as a vengeance seeking anarchist who had no real plans other than to destroy society and didn't care who got hurt as a result. A lot of the more messed up things the goverment was responsible for were actually orchestrated by V who had hacked into the computer system Susan was using to run the goverment.

The point being that none of the really evil or straightforward stuff from the movie was in the graphic novel, and both "sides" had good and bad points to them. You can't just say "V" was right because he's for freedom, or that Susan was right just because of the benefits his order brought (the question of "at what cost" must be asked).

Simply put I think the last thing we really need is another retread of the "heroic freedom fighters against the oppressive totalitarian goverment" schtick. I mean I suppose it works, but it gets old. I mean you can only cheer for the Rebel Alliance (in any capacity or story) so many times before it starts to become old hat. I was kind of hoping "V For Vendetta" was going to break that mould, but it never did, even if it did tell the rather stereotypical story it was changed into reasonable well.

RPG? So... Fallout before the nukes flew? Well whatever it is, yeah it's peeked my curiosity as well.

I imagine this will be another CoD clone, but possibly with a story.

We'll see.
Honestly?

No gameplay or in depth premise thus far. Yet your already dropping the CoD clone bomb.

Fuck the internet I quit.

Thats the first thing I thought too.

If anyone knows, who is making this and what kind of game is it? Google doesn't seem to have any answers and I am intrigued.

So I'm going to assume this is a tv show. Man, President Alison Taylor has been reduced to a news caster :(
