Transformers 2 got a few things right, such as the fight scene in that forest/park, which was actually easy to watch and not confusing.

However, the few things it got right are easily outweighed by the number of things that it did wrong. Most of the other action scenes were bad, the plot was ludicrous, and then there was the Decepticon that turned into a hot chick.

Transformers turn into VEHICLES (or mechanical animals), NEVER HUMANS. Can you at least remember that much this time around, Bay? And while you're remembering that, remember to make a plot that follows some sort of natural progression. And attempt to make action scenes coherent. You can DO this, man. It's not beneath your ability, you just need to try a little harder :(

Personally, my opinion of Michael Bay is best summarized by this quote from Trey Parker:

"I miss you more than Michael Bay missed the mark, when he made Pearl Harbor.
I miss you more than that movie missed the point, and that's an awful lot girl.
And now, now you've gone away. And all I'm trying to say,
Is Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you."

Cool, another stupid teen sex comedy posing as a big budget blockbuster that I can ignore!

For the love of god, revenge of the fallen was a train wreck of bad taste. Go back to the first one. I didn't think it was great, but after that crap that was the second, it's looking better. The action scenes were awesome in both movies though.

I know he probably wont read this but whatever, here's what I'd like to say to Michael Bay.

"Say, Michael, if you want to do America, or rather, the world a favour, maybe next time you're pestering your oh-so-close friend James Cameron while he's working on his next blockbuster epic, maybe you could, idunno, ask him for some pointers on how to make a movie that everyone can enjoy to some extent?

I mean yeah, I didn't mind ROTF all that much (decepticles aside, of course), but it would make a lot of people happy if you actually made an effort for once, you know?
Also, let the writers do the writing, and stop making Sam your self-insertion fanfic character with all the obnoxious people he has to deal with. Parents? Annoying. Swaggering professor? Stupid. Wiggerbots? Human wiggers are bad enough as it is, and we don't need robots and Spongebob Squarepants added to that particular fire. Megan Fox? Admitting that her fanservice shots are shameless doesn't make it okay.

One last thing: know your audience. Who are you aiming these movies at? Adults, teenagers, little kids, or the whole family? Just think about that for a moment. I probably won't have kids while you're still making Transformers movies, but I would never think of exposing them to such scum. Oh, I'll gladly introduce them to Transformers by way of the Animated series, for that show actually has standards, good writing and wit (Constructicons treating a car's deconstruction like a strip tease is clever. Devastator having wrecking balls for testicles is not.) Hasbro's goal in this deal has always been to sell toys to kids. If you're not down with that, tell Paramount to put the movies under somebody else's leadership. Say, I hear Paul Anderson enjoys making adaptation movies, maybe he'd like to have a go at Transformers! :D"

By the way, I am at least half serious about that Paul Anderson comment. Sure, at best he only really makes simple but kickass B movies, but at least that would be more tolerable than another shitty A movie, no?

How is he going to do it? By dropping the robots and making the entire film an homage to the american army in the style of "triumph of the will"

I didn't think Revenge of the Fallen was that bad. It wasn't as bad as I expected. I think people like MovieBob and others are getting their panties in a twist over nothing. Don't watch it if you are going to cry that much, it's as simple as that. Too bad the world is filled with the so-called "intelligent society" ("I can ***** and cry more than you, that makes me smarter").
There is truth in this statement.
Doesn't make the movie any better though.

The plot sucked, I hated the actors (I swear to god I want to bludgeon anyone who says they went to see the movie just because of Megan Fox with a fucking hammer), the transformers were awfuly designed (I couldn't tell which Decepticon was which, they were all grey and spikey), and I just didn't enjoy myself.

I know I shouldn't expect much going into a Micheal Bay movie, but damn. All I expected was watching Transformers beat the living hell out of each other, they did that, but not enough. And like I said it was hard to tell who was freaking who. Sure the Autobots had colors to distinguish them, red, blue, green, yellow, ect. yet the decepticons were grey and indistinguishable most of the time. Not to mention we spent more time watching humans than giant robots in a god damn movie about giant freaking robots...
i can tell them apart, easily, colours aren't everything, the body shapes for example, plus would you like to see a pink Star Scream or pale Blue Megatr... wait that's acctualy good...damn it!

but anyway if that, and the fact that their wasn't enough action(which their clearly was) then the movie cant of been that bad...which it wasn't.

if im not mistaken Michael B is making the 3rd better, i don't know how, but its more focused on the big guys we loved as kids ^_^ if im not mistaken, then Omega Supreme is an aircraft carrier =)

I used to think that Micheal Bay was shit except for The Island. The I saw a movie called Parts: The Clonus Horror, that was exactly like the Island, but made in the '80s. The Parts producers successfully sued him. So yeah, he's got nothing redeeming going for him. At least Uwe Boll has Postal.

I'm not going to see it, so I don't particularly care if he drives the franchise straight into the ground.

He is a critic, he has to watch it and cry that much...

Am I the only one who enjoys these movies? I'm not calling them the greatest things ever but come on, can't you just watch them for what they are and have a bit of fun?
I'm with you! They're not supposed to be anything more than they are: giant robots fighting and blowing shit up. I didn't go into the first one expecting anything else and I left completely satisfied. Same with the sequel.

Are they perfect? No. Are they brilliantly written masterpieces that will earn many awards for their stories? No. Will they deliver ginormous robot battles complete with as much military might as can be commandeered for a film while blowing up anything and everything possible (including things that shouldn't directly be flammable/explosive?) Yes.

Michael Bay can count on this American's ticket money.
