Fire led The knight to Luskan. The trip was held in silence except when passing travelers tried to make small talk that was usually replied with angry stares. When they reached the city gates Fire turned to the knight.
"well this is it" he said, smelling the sea brezze and human waste that littered the streets, the stench not effecting him.
"I have a contact in this city but I have to go alone, how about we meet up in the tavern at midnight" he asked.

"Works for me". The knight threw a topaz from his bag of holding, drawing envious stars from the many thieves surrounding them.
"Go to the silver crown, Alex runs a good place. I need to meet up with my contact in the order of chali-"
Templar stopped talking.
"Forget you heard that could you?"
The knight quickly turned and walked away.

Fire walked away and pocketed the topaz. He glared at a pickpocket who eyed his pockets. Ignoring the knight's strange comment he started making his plans. First he would need to find his city contact and from there he would find as much information about the other warrior?s location as possible. He looked up at the sun and started walking west.

As soon as he got to the furthest western point he noticed a house with a cloth next to the door. "Ah good" he said as he knocked on the door. A strange "come in" answered. The house was dimly lit. Animal furs littered the floor and the head of a deer rested on the far wall. A small fire was burning with a roast spinning around the flames. Next to the fire an old man was bent around the spit, slowly turning his meal.

"What can I do for you" the old man asked not the slightest bit confused that a stranger had entered his house.
"I need... information" Fire replied, "I'm looking for some people who would have come to luskan in the past 3 days".
The old man sighed as he stood up and walked over to a cabinet and pulled out a piece of paper. "Here this will give you some information but apart from this I can't help you now get out of my house".

As Fire walked out of the house he was momentarily blinded by the sun, it was a bright day. Looking down at the 3 contacts on the list Fire realized he knew none of these people. The knight had said something about the owner of the silver crown. Maybe he (OOC: If it?s a she please correct me) could lend some information.

Two pairs of eyes watched Fire as he walked pocketed the gem.
"Is he a threat sir"?
"He came with the knight, just to be safe brake his legs".
"Not a killing"?
"The guards will think about a death. But a "begger" will just be thrown out of the city".
"Ha ha nice, I'll get it dun sir". The halfling jumped into the crowd.
The tall mage stood for a moment longer, smiling.
"Indeed".

OCC: yes alex is a guy, whoever you want i've no plans for him

Fire walked towards the silver crown. He had got direction from the local whore, for a price they always charged, always. However he didn't walk in the directions he was told. Instead he circled around some blocks and retraced his steps, he even walked around a grouping of three houses seven times and he came to the conclusion that he was whithout a doubt being followed. Every time he cut a glance behind him he could see a fat halfling with dirty socks. The halfling wasn't very subtle, constantly bumping into people and once ran into a horse..

Fire walked into a back alley and made a sharp turn, blocking the line of site and then skulked in the corner, knife held at his waist. When the halfling turned he was at first suprised to see the tall figure standing infront of him and then he was in pain after a quick kick to his bloated gut. Two more quick jabs at the Halflings head and a kick to the groin and he was on the ground, a knife at his throat.

"Who sent you and speak wisely as your not the only one this blade has cut"

Having left the zombies where they thought they would be safe, Gremlin and Galt had taken a selection of the loot and proceeded into the city, via climbing the walls and hurling themselves onto the nearest soft objects - in their cases nearby guards. Once they'd relieved the now unconscious guards of their weapons, valuables and clothes, and then sold what they didn't want, they had then immediately gravitated towards the nearest tavern and were engaged in a drinking competition. Gremlin was slowly sliding off his chair when two newcomers entered the pub, having an animated conversation.

"You know for a while I thought the zombies were gonna win, but then when the guards came, damn! I haven't seen that much blood in one place for years! And the loot the pirates carried off! It could've fitted a whole village!"

The two halflings looked at each other in horror, then scrambled for the door. The Barman vaulted the bar and tried to block them, shouting "Oi! you haven't pa- oof!", collapsing in a heap as Gremlin dealt him a swift blow to the unutterables. As the dubious duo sprinted away, the tavern burst into chaos and brawling as the patrons swarmed for the bar in an attempt to steal as much drink as possible while the bartender was groaning.

They reached the scene of the fight to find assorted limbs and heads lying around, the remains of their zombie mates. The pair regarded the sight unhappily for a while. "They must 'er chewed their way through the ropes, an' pissed off de pirates... Maybe de ship bumped 'em on the 'eads?" Gremlin moaned, and both Halflings took a deep breath and tilted their heads back.

Five seconds later, everyone within earshot was treated to the longest string of curse words ever screamed by two inebriated shorties.

The Halfling opened his mouth and screamed. A metal collar had appeared around his neck, chocking him.
"I wasunt gorna speak"! Fires would-be attacker yelled and shouted, but the collar only tightened and grew hot.
"RALON" his final word before a sickening crunch ended his screams. Fire looked at the Halfling's neck, the collar burned with the words
"traitor" before turning to ash.

A tall man in a black coat watched the encounter from a rooftop. On first glance you would say his most shocking feature was his bright blue hair, a moment later you would change to the eyes made of quicksilver
"I would recommend running". He talked with more voices than one, as if 30 men and woman spoke as he did. Leaning down he shouted in an Amish accent
"Oy he's gorn killed that halflin".
The mage looked back to Fire, his voice returned to 'normal' "we are finished here, you are uninteresting".

"Fire stared up at the mage. His eyes where mesmerising. Upon hearing the word finished he woke back to his senses and knew that staying around wasn't going to work out well. With a flick of his wrist smoke was filling the alley.

Fire ran through the crowd getting odd glances as he ran. He heard the comotion caused by the dead halfling. His mind ran back to training "break all eye contact when fleeing from a fight. Then mingle with the crowd". He ran into a back alley and came out 5 minutes later acting like nothing had happend.

He returned to the Silver Crown and bought a room. It was the highest and most eastern room available. The keeper was curious why he wanted room 18 but fire just told him he was a mage and promised that his spells he will be trying out wont smell to bad and promised some more coins when he left.

He went to the room and saw at the window a hawk was waiting patiently for its master. Fire quickly wrote down a coded message and handed it to the bird. "Here take this to headquaters and for the love of god make haste".

Koga browsed through many shops before he found the products that he wanted. He had bought many healing, conjurating, and destructive spells, along with various other sorts. He also purchased an enchanted short sword engraved with his deity, a medium-range crossbow, lightly enchanted chain-mail armor, and a finely made haversack.

While on his way to buy food and herbs, Koga wondered what his friends were up to...

OOC:
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, been having trouble thinking of what my character would do, being injured and stuck in town.

Anyway, I got a message from Gems, saying that while he can't post, he can still read what we write and can still send messages. Therefore, he's going to continue his part of the story by sending me his part, which I will then post. Since we now technically have our GM back, I think it's safe to say that we can drop the side questing thing if we want, in order to continue our quest towards Trollslottet. If you are enjoying your side quest, however, feel free to finish it.

After the fight, Killion had limped out of town with Swift, not daring to look for medicine and risk getting caught up in the fight. I used a spare shirt to bandage any open wounds, and waited for the fighting to end.

I woke up the next morning, extremely stiff and in pain from my leg and arm, where my two larger cuts were. I hadn't meant to fall asleep, sleeping was dangerous while you were bleeding. Swift wasn't around, since his wounds were mostly minor, he probably went into town to get supplies. I myself needed some medicine, or better yet, a healer, so I also started to walk towards town, where they were still cleaning up the bodies.

It was not long before I saw a sign for a healers shop. The healing was much faster and effective than I could have hoped, although because of the delay between getting the wound and being healed, it was impossible to avoid a few scars. And she even healed the burn on my hand caused by using my favorite spell, Destabilization. When she asked what caused the burn and I told her, she even told me about a special type of stone that can store incredible amounts of heat without giving any off. If I had one of these, I could use it as a vessel for the heat instead of my own hand. They were quite rare however, and I could only hope to find one on the path to Trollslottet. I tipped the healer generously and left feeling much better about life.
Now if only I could find my comrades so I could set off again.

"Templar, free knight, order of chalice. You are hereby reassigned; Alten and his demonic cult are no longer you target. A man named Ralon has appeared he is a powerful sorcerer and involved in the recent attacks on Luskan and the ten towns. How we know not, but that?s your job. He has been seen in the spine in back alleys and chapels, at the same time. Also the commander of the Luskan guard went missing at the same time Ralon showed up, so she is on your target of opportunity list. I know we are paladins and demon slayers, not spies or harpers but discretion is advised. You will now be returned to your room at the silver crown, your companion has already booked one. Also a band of travelers has been moving toward the spine they could help, you?ve already met one. Your memory will be fractured by the spell so don't worry if you forget anything."

Templar looked around him, everything was fuzzy. Fire stood in front of him looking out a window, "When your ready I would like to find your friends" said Templar.

OCC: Trimmed this down for easy reading, let me know if my decision was ironic.

Fire stared out the window, his mind racing. Contact had still yet to be made with Higher Command. He was unsure what to do. This wizard was clearly unchecked and an enemy but his orders where to investigate trollslottet. What to do? What to do?

He decided to abandon is primary target and move towards eliminating this "bored" wizard. That Halfling had bent his knife and he wanted payback.

"New plans knight, we are now looking for a....."

His hawk flew in the window and perched on his shoulder. On the right talon was a piece of paper wrapped in leather. It read;

"Your old friend is the troll. Asked kindly for help from peasant chaos. An enemy will be out of town. Description: Small, white armor"

What it meant;

"Your new target is the wizard. Requested help from Knight order. An assistant will be in your town. Description: Large, black armor"

Fire turned to his companion with a smile on his face, pack your things, we are going wizard hunting.

General Mostly Electrified Steel:
_______________________________________

Romanesco had made a reputation as a madman.

As a truly bizarre phenomenon, he had completed his Monk training (to his satisfaction, of course), and declared himself a "Cleric of Chaos". Tattooing "23" on his bald head, and garbing himself in a tangled mess of teased cotton, he was now wandering the countryside, telling people tales of adventure and tuna.

You could say, he was getting "in tuna" with the hoi polloi.

"So, anyway, there was this salmon, and he walked into a bar," said Romanesco, "and he goes to the chef: 'You kill my father!'"
"Sorry, what? A chef in a bar?" Pish, peasents. He ignored the outcry of confusion.
"And the chef is like 'That's my job. It only seems fishy to you.'"
More groans from the crowd.
"So the trout is lik--"
"Wasn't it a salmon?"
"--is like 'I challenge you to a game of backgammon. I win, you stop being a chef forever. I lose, you feed me to the cattle.'"
"Backgammon? Can fish even play backgammon?"
"Does Lord Nasher shit in the woods? So, parrotfish are really good at backgammon, and the fish has the chef cornered in a couple of turns. The gobi wins, and the extortionis--"
"But he was just a chef!"
"--extortionist nods, and says 'Yes, you win.' as he plunged his marlinspike into the whale shark's belly. Confused, the naga complains 'But I won!' as the serrated edges slowly ease into his juicy, bloody intestines. The barkeep responds 'Indeed. So did your father.'"
Stunned silence. A few of them were clutching their stomachs or fidgeting akwardly. Hilarious!
"And that's why tourmaline is green, friends! Have a nice yesterday! Tomorrow will be cloudy, with slight chance of demonic invasion!"

Romanesco walked out of the bar, grinning from ear to. He didn't have a second ear, you see. He just couldn't stand to ear any more of his thrice-cursed mother. He had a long journey ahead of him. A long journey along long roads. Ha ha ha.

Galt and Gremlin, partially distraught and completely smashed, began to wander the streets.

"Gaddamn barhahs, they'll never learn ta behave, always gettin' 'mselves killed. I hates walkin on my owns, stunty legs never meant for this." Galt spat.

As the grumbling duo stumbled into an alley, a group of beggars approached them. Spying their gaudy jewelry, they tried to get what they could off them. What they got was a heavy dose of boot to the head and subsequent reanimation by machete.

With a new gang of zombies, the halflings tried to clamber over the city's northern walls. Upon reaching the top, Gremlin spotted a group of embattled guards fighting in the hills.

"Oi, Galt! We'z got some fightin' goin' on o'er here. Grab the Barhahs! Let's get lootin'!"

With that final cry the zombies tossed Galt into a river and then scaled the walls themselves. Soaked and bewildered, but still enthusiastic at the chance of new plunder (the barhahs failed to guard his old stash), he joined up with Gremlin and waited patiently on a rock, waiting for the ogres to come down to a more manageable number.

A massive Mourning Star flail reduces the ogres by one.

An enormous battle breaks out between them and an unarmored man with a wicked smile on his face.

Wiping his face of the gore after a successful slaughter, the man turns.

"Ye can get oot from behin' that rock, boys. Ain't none of 'em left. Name's Sorrov. Pleased ter met'cha."

Galt looks up and sees the battle has ended, the dead and wounded from the two sides left behind in the mutual retreat. Seeing the barbarian before him, Gremlin jumps down. The two exchange some gesture more akin to drunken punch than greeting. Even the wildmen had their codes.

Seeing the opportunity for new barhahs, Galt ran towards the field and prepped for 'surgery'.

Sorrov turns and spots Galt seeming to attack the corpses.

"Oi, what're ya doin' to them corpses? Ye want to fight 'em or summin? Whuzzat lil' machete fer, anyways?

Sorrov's eyes widen as the corpses rise.

"Bleh, I hate undead. They don't bleed and they ain't got no tactics fer me to beat."

"So how'd an ordinary-lookin' guy like you get a weapon like that?"
