They need a good old fashioned pettition. Why wouldn't he be allowed in with the costume on anyway? Distracting? Please.

They didn't let him in because he's a fucking fat guy wearing a skin tight outfit that is mediocre at best. He probably looked like a crazy fan to the owner.

That said, I don't agree with the banning, he was just showing his dedication to the series.

Wow, that's some serious bullshit.

IT'S FUCKING TRON GUY! LET HIM SEE THE MOVIE IN COSTUME!
Sounds like a miscommunication. They probably thought it was going to be lit up the whole movie which of course would be a major distraction.
And considering he was wearing a luminescent suit, turning it off isn't really an option.

I got that glow-in-the-dark Tron shirt from Threadless just for the premiere and the damn paint wore off so it didn't even glow.

Crushing disappointment :(

I can understand why the movie theatre isn't letting him bring his costume, BUT HE'S MOTHERFUCKING TRON GUY!!! That's just spitting on what little standards you have.

You can't stop the Tron guy from watching Tron!

Note: Who is this Tron guy is he meant to be famous or something?
I explained who he is in the first paragraph.
I think the majority of those that comment do not even read the entire post. No matter where I go I always see questions in the comment that where answered in the post.

I work at a theater that is rather close to him and I've already discussed it with my manager, so I've sending an invite. Do you think he'll take my offer?

So the tens of thousands of other Tron nerds in costume can wear their outfits but the only famous one can't...WTF?

Not to fear, guys. We are currently in talks to get him to a showing at my theater... in costume!

So if you're in the South Western WI area... message me for more details.

Let him watch it, but only in the far back corner if it's such a big fucking deal. No one is going to be bothered by his costume anyways, most people seeing this movie are goddamn Tron fans anyways who probably love his costume, and anyone who complains is probably some asshole with ADHD who can't concentrate on the fucking screen becuase he/she was distracted by the damn lights on his costume. Hell, why doesn't he just get two friends to sit beside him on both sides so no one could possibly be distracted by the lights. People can be really fucking stupid at times.

I don't see theaters stopping me and my friends from seeing Watchmen or Star Wars films when we're in costume.

Shame on these people.........

...I love Tron Guy...

If Tron Guy was in the audience (or better yet, in the movie) he might distract everyone from the ridiculous, cookie-cutter B-plot.

Somewhere...you just KNOW the producers of this movie are reading this story and asking whether they can sue the movie theater for denying them a prime advertising opportunity.
They're trying to sweep everything nerdy and uncool about Tron under the rug with this movie. Tron Guy unfortunately counts.

Sad but true.

An economist would STILL say this was a prime advertisement opportunity gone to waste, however. Same as when the World Wildlife Foundation sued the World Wrestling Federation (now known as World Wrestling Entertainment) over the use of the acronym WWF. Personally, I think they could have made a lot of money towards their cause if they let the wrestlers help make money for their charity. WWF for the WWF? Would have been a moneymaker, that's for sure.

WWE still capitalized from that with their "Get the F out" campaign though. So I feel they got the last laugh.
