ehh, they probably just don't know he's e-famous. Maybe after this runs in a couple magazines and they go "Oh wait, THAT tron guy?" maybe they'll let him do it.

Tron is a nerd movie. Therefore nerd rules count! Tron Guy should be allowed in with the costume.

As someone who works at the theatre, I can see why you dont let him see it in his suit. There's going to be people who will complain or bother Tron Guy. Just nip it in the bud and move on with life.
Hmm... the theater I used to work in used to troll the Harry Potter fans who came in costume. Yes, you read that right, the employees were trolling the fans, not the other way around. I was always surprised they didn't go to the management and try to have those people fired. Later they did the same thing to the Twilight fans, and that was even easier for them, given how angsty and emo Twilight fans are.

Meh. I don't see this as a big deal. They really should've let him wear his costume. But whatever ya know?

how ridiculously stupid the plot was.
it's about a guy sucked in into a videogame world and starts a revolution against another videogame character

not even Shakespeare can fix that
Look, I don't mind a character getting sucked into a fantastical world, in fact some of the best movies do that. But this Tron is not even in the same universe as the original. There's no wonder, no personifications of computer lingo, no fun. It's about three characters, the Dude, some chick, and some other dude, running away from a laughable looking Jeff Bridges all the while falling into plot holes a mile wide. Not even the special effects were that great. The worst offender, other than the aforementioned PS2 graphics version of Jeff Bridges, was Sam's entrance into the grid. The process of him entering, it looked like a Windows Movie Maker transition that someone slapped on before lunch (as opposed to the original). It's a perfect representation of how half ass the rest of the movie was.
Seriously? You can say that the original Tron wasn't fucking stupid as all hell? Wow. The original was just three dudes doing some stupid fucking games and running away from so big bad computer program who looked like lines on a screen. And you wanna talk graphics? Jesus, I could puke better graphics than that.

They manage a theater. I think "A lot of power" is something they lack.

That's probably why they denied him.

...is it now okay to lose faith in humanity? It's the TRON GUY WHO WANTS TO SUPPORT THE MOVIE! Some stupid people out there with a lot of power...
a lot of people, myself included, lost faith in humanity a long time ago.

let him see the film, if he made that costume himself then that's even more reason to. he did a good job

I really don't see why this is such a huge deal. Yeah, he's the Tron guy, but he's also wanting to go into the movie theater in a suit stuffed full of lights. This isn't about whether or not the Tron Guy is cool or not, this is about whether or not the other moviegoers are going to be pissed off because there's a living christmas tree in front of them in a dark theater or not.
You know how annoying it can be when you're sitting behind someone who fiddles with one measly cellphone, and that goddamn screen light just keeps distracting you? Multiply that by a lot. It's not exactly hard to see why the manager didn't want to do it. Tron Guy or not, it's not his show and he's not supposed to be there as a distraction.

Considering his nads are very well emphasised in that skintight suit, it's no wonder he can't wear it to the film. Anywhere else, he'd just get arrested for public indecency.

I work at a movie theatre and not only would he be welcome to wear his costume, but I'd give him some free popcorn. Though we're not showing TRON at our cinema.

That was made up for with both the characters "Gem" and "Quarra" if you know what I am saying.

I can see how the theater would not like him wearing it as it could cause a lot of negative attention but I also think that the guy is doing nothing wrong so it wont be bad if he wears his little suit.

Is it bad that I've never heard of this person before?

Anyway, if it's as tight as you say it is, I can see why the cinema staff wouldn't let him in. Not to mention that his outfit glows and it would be distracting if he turned it on during the movie.

Oh come on, how could they not let him in? In costume, he's a frigging internet celebrity who could've even increased ticket sales through name advert alone! What kind of jerkmoe management work at that theatre?
