In sociology, one of the big ways to determine how interconnected we are (and a gauge for changes in the number of friends we have) is to ask a pretty simple question:
If you had a humiliating picture (usually of you naked, or whatever you wouldn't want society at large to see), and had to give it to someone, how many people would you be willing to give a copy? Exclude family members.
The current average for Americans is a little more than two people. I'm curious what the kind of breakdown for the people here is? So, there's a picture of you doing something that if it got out would ruin your life. How many people are you confident you could give it to them in an envelope, and be sure no one else would ever see it?
Edit: It's not meant to just be "a naked picture". If you're truly unashamed of your body, the question is what you would do with a picture you're ashamed of. For the people who don't care if people see them naked, imagine a picture of you doing something so depraved I can't in good conscience describe it here, and have to give people the picture. How many people would you trust with something that could destroy you?
