Tsunami "payback" for Pearl Harbour

1: Do you think that the tsunami that hit Japan in 2011 was payback for Pearl Harbor?

Apparently there is a fair amount of Americans claiming that the Tsunami currently ravaging Japan can be seen as payback for an attack in WW2.

Here's the thing, I understand and accept that dropping the nukes was necessary. What I DON'T and cannot condone is that it was two civilian towns. If they would have hit towns that were part of the military structure or were of vital strategic importance, then I wouldn't be that upset.

This is not "revenge" and besides Kamikaze winds (natural forces in general) have favored Japan in the past. You (not OP, but those quoted) make me ashamed to be American! They are more complex. But the loss of life is never good.

The U.S. where the ones that kept this really hushed up as to not shame the country of Japan, Trust me those Nukes were no where near as bad as what Japan did in WW2.

I don't agree that "the tsunami is payback" but seriously Japan was as bad if not worse than Hitler and the Nazi's in WW2.

If it was payback for Pearl Harbor you'd think it'd have happened to the people who actually had a part in Pearl Harbor, most of the people affected now weren't old enough do be a part of Pearl Harbor. Most of the veterans are all in their 80's and dying off quickly, earthquakes or not.

More importantly do they think it was something the United States did on purpose or God?

I think it's really funny how some on this forum are actually lumping these few total dickheads with an entire nation of culturally diverse people.

I have met many Americans and am proud to call some my friends -- they are very humane and intelligent people.

I think some of us here need to remind themselves that there are assholes and saints everywhere.

This is true I guess. (I mean, you just have to look to Barack Obama to know that America isn't ALL bad) But seriously, I can think of no other country that could spawn people that are so stupid, ignorant and just plain shitty all rolled into one!

I'm not saying my country is perfect (I'm British btw), but I can tell you for a fact that if a natural disaster struck Germany right now and left thousands dead; no one, and I mean ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NO ONE here would be claiming that it was revenge for the Blitz.
