I still maintain that 18th C. England would be a sick time to run around offing people in, and they'd save change since I imagine it isn't too tough to find voice actors who can speak in various English dialects.

Quickly churned out mediocre sequels every year is the new safe money-maker for the big publishers. You'd think that with guranteed money rolling in they would take risks with new and interesting IP, but NOOOOOOO.

If you don't like it then stop giving them money. It's like gamers think the definition of boycott is: "To Complain about a game until it's realeased, then purchasing it anyway"

If it was any other dev/franchise pushing games every year I would say screw that, but Ubisoft improved AC massively with every iteration, when AC2 was released it was quickly one of my favorite games ever, and now AC:B is THE favorite game ever, so I am really excited for this.

I'm also expecting a very major AC release in 2012 to coincide with the present day stuff from AC

On one hand: Look at Activision's record of yearly releases. All of them went bad (except for Black Ops, but even that has room for debate)
On the other hand: AC Brotherhood had about a year of development, so who knows?

Conclusion: This is the start of a trend. Whether it's a good or bad one will all depend on the new game.

Good. AC is now my favourite Ubisoft franchise, since Beland butchered Splinter Cell.

I hope it does well.

Hmmm...I don't know what to think of this. Yes, I love the AC franchise and Brotherhood only had a year of development but still. I'm worried. Ubisoft, don't screw this up!

Assassins Creed should seek to boldly go where no other triple AAA title has gone before, they have a great opportunity to explore historical settings with this series.

assassins creed game? 2011? neato.

maybe it'll finally be the pc version of the game, as its getting released next year and i have to wait ages for it...

yet another franchise thats practically abandoning the pc...like so many others...
Damn, beat me I had the joke ready as well... Big assassin release next year, yeah the PC version. But that is already set for April time anyway.

Also since every Creed game so far has come out for the PC, I don't think your comments about them abandoning the PC are fair. Also PC games being released later than the console versions so they can add high resolutions, I have no major problem with.

But Ubisoft proper wireless 360 controller support would be appreciated next time. I will be checking before buying, so you have been warned.

I can only hope that Ubisoft continues to read our emails and make the series better. As long as they do that, I'm more than willing to stick with the AC series.

Russian revolution (with rasputin and all that)

100 years war.

Mayan/Aztec takeover from spain.

Gah. Not pleased. Even if the games continue to be excellent, there's no doubt they would end up being less special and interesting.

Oh I hope Ubisoft does not not start milking this franchise like Activision milks Call of Duty. Resist the temptation Ubisoft! Resist!
You aren't serious are you?
Yes I am. Remember Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero? I do, and I do not want another series to end up like them.
Tony Hawk...good? I'm sorry but what? And additionally, guitar hero was doomed to fail in the beginning. It's hard to make a game, that does, you know, the same thing over and over and can never change because it's simulating a guitar. You could have just kept gh2 and sold dlc or expansions for it and it would probably have fared better. But anyways I don't really care. Brotherhood is good, so I don't expect anything horrible.

As long as the series' quality continues as it has, then I've got no problem, since I'm guessing this means it's AC3 (the last part of Desmond's story, if not the end of the franchise).

Oh, and after years of begging for an end to WW2 games, why is WW2 the only bloody thing people seem to be asking for in AC3?

Victorian London would be my personal choice.

God, WHEN are we gonna get more info about Thief 4?

Assassin's Creed is great and all, but TWO AC games have been put out since Thief 4 was last TALKED about.

For the love of God, let it not be vaporware.
Where did that come from? xD May as well ask about Max Payne 3.

I hope that this game's pc version won't be delayed till next year.
Stupid Crap DRM. Seriously why can't they just use steam? Sales would go up dramatically.
