I'm watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann at the moment, which I heard about via TVTropes. it's brilliant, but is the fact that I heard about it from someone else enough to make my enjoyable experience count for naught?

I can make many a valid point to this argument.
1) The KKK and Hitler are both examples of discrimination and NOT hate.
2) You really do hate me, it's built to everyone's genetics.
3) I don't restrict myself from good things. I just don't need any more good things. I'm happy as I am.
4) Hate does not kill you. Idiocy does. Taking advice from TV is like asking a thief to be your psychiatrist.
5) If you have a new outlook because of one show, you should stop being heavily influenced by other's opinions. If suicide was the next big meme, most would be all over it. Stop being sheep.

1) Hate is a primary point in discrimination since they, you know, hate what they discriminate against.
2) No I don't, and I think you don't understand genetics much.
3) If you're happy with the way you are than you are stagnant and unchanging, this directly contradicts your previous statement of purposeless hate yielding the strive to move forward.
4) Hate and anger are the leading causes of heart attacks, and idiocy doesn't play into any of this discussion.
5) Or the show is better than other stuff and didn't alter my entire being and just tweaked it a bit to brush off hate and intolerance as they are unnecessary. I sense troll, but I'll do what I can to give a rational response anyway.

We inevitably are using our intelligence to make us and/or those around us happy and content, so I'd say that a world where everyone is happy and content would be better than anything else, regardless of circumstances.

Perpetuating hate doesn't really help anybody. I'd like you to give me one example where more people were made happy than not when everyone was hating on everyone else.

These points aren't very valid, really.

1) Discrimination. That's a form of hate. You treat someone or something differently out of a distrust of something you're unfamiliar with.
2) I don't hate you. I can't hate you, I don't know you. I can think you're silly and making facetious arguments though.
3) You sound so far from happy you wouldn't recognise it if it showed you the way with a huge rainbow. Comfortable in your apathy perhaps.
4) The 'advice' is basically not to be an arse. Being an arse can kill you. thus, sound advice.
5) Before I started watching this show I wasn't exactly heavily influenced by multicoloured magical flying ponies. I can't say I'm heavily influenced by it now, but all things influence those who experience them in some form.
Also, suicide was a meme about ten years ago. I can only assume you weren't old enough to be using a computer to notice.

My Giant Scorpions of course, instead of being cutesy plot a day comedy, it would have a large over arching plot line, and brutal fights to the death, and instead of learning about friendship, we would learn the benefits of stabbing former allies in the back for you own benifit, and they'd all be male, not all of them would be Scorpions though, there'd also be Spiders and Centipedes and such, there would be a Scorpion that only broke into song every once in a while and he would only sing Heavy Metal songs and it would be Awesome!
