Sweet jesus it was incredibly annoying. God, the whole "everypony" gimmick was damn stupid, Twilight was a massive anti-social complaining *****, the Texan one murdered my ears, and every time that fucking pink pony open her god damn mouth I wanted to castrate 12 different newborn children.

So yeah, I don't really like it.

It's a two-parter and I don't think the pilot is as good as the rest of the season, but it has some background information to clear stuff up later.

Not convinced? One of the episodes is about a fashion show... and it's enjoyable. Yes, an episode about ponies putting on a fashion show is enjoyable.

She. And no, she was my favourite immediately also. Though the later episodes do an excellent job of raising my estimations of the other ponies, especially Angry Fluttershy and Psycho Pie.
