Xi > Putin.
This article just proves that Xi is likely the least incompetent person in China and likely the most fit to lead. If it had been Saddam who had tanks with outdated anti-tank sabot in his T-series tanks, this wouldn't happen as often. It also proves that the military industrial complex in China has the same problems as the US, but in different ways. Whereas the US struggles with economies of scale, China struggles with corruption.
The weird thing is why you would want to be that corrupt to that much of a irrational degree. If even one J-20 has a bad part, and this was proven to be malicious it's not like the US where Lockmart/Lockheed Martin/LMT will get fined or it's stock price will decrease. It's a lot more serious, what idiot would do this, the guy who designed the jet is a moron if he did this. What's the point of one more house/value of gold bars, etc. What will that changed in your life, you have created the eastern F-22 that can be scaled up in a short period of time. This is why many smart people, academics, etc. don't like rich people. They can think instead of hoard, and that's coming me who has not played 60% of my steam library.
Even if your rich that wealth disappears in three generations, and sure your kid will be a nepo baby, but they lack the innovation, drive, and general gusto that you have. Knowledge, innovation, etc. can't be taken away (granted you can die via a jealous person).
You guys keep saying I like poltical power, well one political power means you get undynamic, and ordering people around is fun for a while until you lose the skills needed to do it yourself.
