Remove the processor, put the heatsink back in place and unplug the motherboard speaker. No beep codes means no solution. No one EVER checks to see if the processor is missing.
that's cruel, because computer techs never for for the most practical solution first, harsh man harsh.

When I was in high school my schools computer system was very easy to mess with. My friend linked all the computers in the library together to play a scene from a porn movie. He had the speakers on all the computers turned up to max. He just typed a command in and all the computers played the video at the same time. The librarians were freaking out, it was quite hilarious.
thats the best one i heard yet. That's truly inspiring now i am going to try to do that in my library it would be so priceless.

When someone is on the desktop and not looking, or not there, quickly reach over to their keyboard and do ctrl+a and hit enter about a million times... every folder/app on the desktop then opens a million times. Fastest way to fix this is just to reset the comp =P

Change all your friend's bookmarks to porn, naming them the same as the original links. Not only will he be directed to porn (possibly several times), but he'll have to find all his old bookmarks again. It's even better if their girlfriend/boyfriend uses the computer too. >:D

Best prank I've done is take a screenshot of my friends desktop and then hide their icons in a folder on C:. They clicked for 30 minutes straight trying to access folders and thought their computer was frozen.

Some people were hanging out in my room and I left for a few minutes to do something, don't remember what. When I came back my computer had been macified and my mouse buttons were switched. I got mad at my friend Dan and told him to fix it, which he did. Turns out he wasn't actually the one who did it.

I did something kind of along those lines once. Set my friend's homepage to meatspin while he was in the bathroom and played it cool when he got back. Part 1 was successful as he didn't figure out anything was wrong. The next evening (I wasn't there at the time) a freshman that's friends with him asks to use his computer and opens up Firefox. My friend, who was on his top bunk at the time, knows exactly what happened once the music starts but the more naive freshman panics and starts saying something like "I don't know what happened, it just came up." Missing in this case was so much funnier than if I'd gotten my original target.

I hacked all the computers to follow the master computer and changed our desktop into A screen capture of any scary images that you get in the mazes where it gets really tiny you have to look closer.

I love the XP password change, did it to my flatmate one time. Restart into safemode and then login as admin then you can change passwords at will. I'm pretty sure you have to set a admin password at install and 9 times out of 10 it isn't done.

I changed it to "We found your horse porn" then left clues around his desk. In the end I had to tell him because he was going to take it in to get looked at.

My personal favorite is super gluing the home row on the keyboard. If your potential victim is gullible or oblivious enough he'll end up coming to you, begging to pry the keyboard off of his fingers. *sigh* What fun I had...

A quick BAT file a friend taught me makes it come up "Delete Contents of C:/?" and regardless what you do, it lists the contents of C:/, then comes up with a quick message and shuts down.

I love playing porn tricks.

-Set the logon sound to a woman moaning.
-Set default webpage to a porn site.

Never gets old. And the panic is priceless :D
We did that to a friend back in school, who just left his labtop standing open in the classroom when he left, also added the moaning sound to when he opened folders or programs or web pages. So when he came back to class 5 minutes late (he always did) and turned on his computer it was hillarious :D

set the screensaver to the blue screen of death that requires a password. It's espcially great if it's someone whose so computer illiterate they shut off the computer manually and the next time it happens still don't realize it's a screen saver. I did this to my Sergeant after he sent out saucy e-mails under my name.

Buddy of mine used to work IT for some group or another back in the day. Had edited himself a version of DOS (like I said, back in the day) so the error messages were a bit...altered. You know, like "Bad user. Stop doing stupid things." and "No! You're stupid!". For some reason, it wouldn't compile right, so he tossed it on a floppy disk and forgot about it.

...one of his co-workers found the disk, thought it was a regular version, and installed it on the head honcho's computer. An hour or so later, he gets a call asking to come up and inspect the computer to find out why it's calling the boss an idiot.

Unintentional, but one of the best.

From the BIOS, disable the USB slots and watch how confused people get when trying to connect their digital accessories :)

Oh and if you know the admin password for the BIOS, its more fun !

Some Dell computers have a key combination that flips the screen upside-down. This included the computers at my high school. All you need to do is hit the same key combination again to fix it, but nobody knows what it is.
I found that one out playing Tomb Raider. I tried to shoot a tiger while side flipping and-

use the prt sc key to copy a picture of the desktop then past it into paint then save the image and set that as the desktop background and delete the icons.
this will make it look like the icons are there but you can't click on them.
