People who Min/Max in RPGs. You are reducing a RPG to just a G. Try some role-playing.

People who complain about repetitiveness in Far Cry 2. To quote my mother "Only boring people get bored.". It is a beautiful open world where you can achieve your goals anyway you see fit, stealth, ambush, explosives, long range hits, stabbing, fire there are so many ways to kill a person you can be entertained for hours. However people who complain about the respawn are totally justified.

1)Resident Evil was never about zombies. Now some people complain about the latest 2 RE games not having and zombies in it and it was taking it away from the original concept of the series....well, it wasn't. Like the japanese name of the series, Biohazard, the game has been and most likely always will be about biohazards/bio-logical weapons. Even in the original game, you had enemies like the Hunters, Tyrant, and giant $#%&ing snakes...those were not zombies, they were biological weapons made with the T virus. Even the T-"Zombies" weren't even zombie, but researchers that were mutated by the virus, and acted and looked zombie-like.
My problem with the latest RE games isn't the lack of zombies (although that does suck)
Except hasn't ever been about zombies. They are basically mutants created with a biological weapon.
Dude, the original games did have zombies in them, they where shambling corpses that ate you...zombies

Ill have to agree with the "they was zombies" like primitivescrewhead says.. Look at RE2 the colored Police Officer in the Raccoon City Police Department rather early in the game. You meet him has Claire / Leon and he is Mortally Wounded, when you come back to him later he is Dead and Zombifies in-front of you. While yes the Zombie outbreak was created from the T-Virus by Umbrella Corp, it is to my memory it had a Zombifactation to recently diseased via a Infected Zombie Killing them, although if my memory serves me correct Resident Evil 1 Didn't truly explain how the Hunters came about but RE2 Mentions that direct injection of the T-Virus causes some of the non-zombie like Enemy's like the Licker.

On a side note I do agree that Resident Evil isn't what it used to be and has to me branched too far from its roots it doesn't feel like a Survival Horror no more. not because of the move from the Capcom patented "Tank" Control's but more that its been your being sent in to sort the shit out rather than being stuck in the middle of it. RE1 is kinda the exception id spose but was more closed in and in a creepy (OK BACK THEN creepy) mansion, RE2 your just a replacement Cop / Girl Looking for her bro and just thrown into hell and the third your trying to escape from hell. the forth while I did like broke what I loved about RE's in that it didn't feel as much Survival and the Horror while always weak had watered down more to me.

My best friend played Bioshock 2 and hated it because he didn't take the time to find even half of the audio tapes and thought that everything Delta did was simply because he had no other choice, thought it was retarded that Lamb was never mentioned in Bioshock 1, thought the whole story was bollocks because they don't give you the entire story,
and that Eleanor was killing you at the end of the game.

He still won't listen to me when I explain to him everything he missed not collecting the diaries....

My brother is constantly comparing Bioshock to Halo because I love Bioshock and not Halo, and he loves Halo, and not Bioshock.

"Halo has way better shooting mechanics and action, and graphics."

He just doesn't get it. I'm an RPG gamer, I love story and atmosphere, something that Halo is lacking almost completely.

Anytime anyone anywhere complains about graphics, that's missing the point.

In FFXIII whenever my neighbor comes over to play he starts button mashing through the ATB bar + fight scene. It's not going to do anything differently! xD

Yeah, i know a lot of people that won't try saints row 1 or 2 because their GTA purists and their convinced that saints row is just a dumb knock off, when their suppior games. you can talk up the graphics and story and realism all you want but in the end i found GTA 4 to be boring as hell (and i loved GTA Up until the incredably buggy San Andreas). The Saints Row games are rediculous but fun and in many ways have improved on the old GTA formula (the aiming system being the biggest one).

People who chastise GTA IV for not being as ridiculous and over the top as the older games, to me, are completely missing the point. Rockstar purposefully de-constructed the theme of the previous generation. GTA III era games all acted like it was awesome to be a gangster, sure there were setbacks, but you could always overcome it and kill everyone. They were also, looking back, very juvenile. When IV came around, the series went the other way and showed how shit the life can be, how much it messes you and those around you up. It wasn't trying to be the previous generation, it wasn't trying to outdo San Andreas in the "zomg jetpacks and fighter planes and naked BASE jumping" stakes, it eschewed all that in favour of a more mature and frankly amazing narrative. Hell, it's probably only called GTA because it's basic gameplay is the same, "kill people, shoot things, steal cars" which has been there since the first game.

I for one loved it and wish people would stop ragging on it for not being San Andreas II. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's still one of the best games ever made. If you want more San Andreas...go fucking play San Andreas (or Just Cause 2).

FF XIII apparently the point is being on the run and chased but people cry for blood for it being linear. Sorry if it doesn't make sense to you while you can't grind and camp in a huge environment while you're supposedly running away.

2)Why level up any other Pokemon? Maybe this might be something I do, but I have never found a reason to level up any other Pokemon besides my starter, especially with some of the moves they get later on, they can become powerhouses against their weakness types, and can usually steamroll the Elite Four. I've done this so far with every Pokemon game to date without fail...then just go back and put an EXP Share on the Pokemon I want to level up/evolve, and just do constant Elite Four runs....but maybe that just me.
im glad someone finally identified how appallingly OP blastoise was in RBY. i tanked the game with that (and of course the invincible fricking Alakaspam).

however, these days pokemon has not "gone downhill," its just alienated a lot of people. so many folks still associate it with "just being a kids game" and absolutely miss the point in my opinion. with RBY and even GSC, it was just "load up on really strong pokemon and throw power moves at each other until one of us is dead"-style gaming. 3rd-gen turned it all on its head with such ridiculous innovations as Ludicolo (arguably the game's most annoying and well-suited Toxic-staller) and the move Overheat (without this move and its alternate-type counterparts, half of all Choice Specs strategies would look remarkably different). the 4th-gen special-physical split REALLY threw thing into motion: all of a sudden, good pokemon like Gyarados and Flygon received huge advantages by gaining access to their previously difficult to use same-type moves. at the same time, Stealth Rock took the entire pro battling community by storm. so yeah, sure, just keep training your starters. that way, youll get swept by an oddish when you try and prove how good you are. dont believe it can happen? click here:
