Note: Please refer to TLDR at the bottom of this post if you don't have the patience to read through it

There have been a lot of threads asking for cartoon or anime recommendations, but I rarely see threads that are used to bring more obscure shows into the light. As such, here is a place to share some of the more obscure and older cartoons that you have either not seen or haven't seen in a long time.

I'll start with two shows I recently came across that were great back in the day, but never caught on with mainstream audiences.

First off is Starship Troopers: Roughneck Cronicles
This show was a rare treat when it first came on air. It took the best aspects of both the over the top action movie, and the Heinlein novel, and turned it into a seriously kick ass Saturday Cartoon.
It also has one of my favorite opening title sequences ever.

Second, I bring to you Cybersix, a thirteen episode cartoon based off of the Argentina comic series of the same name.
It was produced by a Canadian company, but the animation was made in Japan. I am hesitant to call this an anime series, as it shares few resemblances with the particular art form. It feels much more akin to the Tintin cartoons, or other French animations.

I won't be surprised if many of you haven't heard of this show, it was only aired in Canada and France.

TLDR
Post an underrated cartoon that you would like to share.

Any Adult Swim fair is great, Squidbillies, Tom Goes To The Mayor, etc. Also King of The Hill is underappreciated even though It carries a nice message while still doing smart humor and absurd situations.

Definitely Mission Hill. I remember being constantly amazed at how clever and funny the writing was. Now that I think about it, I miss that show...

I have the entire collection on DVD =P Not a bad series.

Of course for a thread like this I am honor bound to post MEGAS.

Maybe one day Cartoon Network will wake up and bring this back.

SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. This was a great show in the early to mid 90's and had a pretty damn good run going for it. Until, that is, it was cancelled for being too violent for children! That's the biggest bunch of bullshit man. Here was a show that was different because of the military themes and buddy comedy and it was cancelled for being "too violent". They need to bring this show back.

They show it on Boomerang sometimes, I liked that show when I was a kid.

Cybersix was aired on Fox Kids in the United States sometime in 1999-2000. I remember really liking it, but I certainly don't remember it.

Who didn't like teen titans? Who are they? Cause I'll punch them in the face.

Kidding.......mostly.

In all seriousness, I was a fan of Code Lyoko when it was on cartoon network. Loved that show.

Surprised at all the oblong mentions, don't really like that show...

Adventures of Batman (1991-94)
Adventure Time
Courage
Camp Lazlo
Misadventures of Flapjack
Jacky Chan Adventures
Justice League Unlimited

Most of the cartoons I watch are actually fairly well regarded, just unheard of. I also watch some aforementioned things but I didn't feel like bringing them up.

Just noticed how much I like adventures...
