I'm against gay marriage.
There.... I said it.
You wanna know why? Because, strait or gay, marriage is a backward institution that goes against our very human nature and makes most of us miserable. What real purpose does marriage serve anyway, except to further complicate relationships and force your relatives to attend an extremely boring (and expensive) party? Love isn't something that should require a legal agreement.
So basically I'm against marriage, not gays, I just felt like trolling for a sec there.

My unpopular opinion is that I believe atheists are just as close minded as the christians they claim to hate. Really? You only believe in something you can logically prove? You don't think there is anything in the entire universe that might be beyond your comprehension? You are so smart you can understand everything that has ever been?

Really?

They try to be logical, but it comes off as arrogance to me.

Another unpopular opinion, is that science and religion don't conflict. They are fundamentally different, and are answering fundamentally different questions. Science is answering the "How?" Religion is answering the "Who?" and the "Why?" questions. I don't see why people have a problem with it.

Besides provide a joy to their parents that is unmatched by anything else on Earth and of which any parent would never trade away, no matter how hard it can be to deal with. What selfish little bastards.

ITT: people pretending to be above others despite being pseudo nihilists, due not to a genuine dislike of humanity, but from being rejected from it. In other news, lonely nerds gon' pretend to be aloof.

We shouldn't have given up on game cartridges. If Sega were to come back into the console market with a dedicated games machine that played nothing but cartridges...well, I probably wouldn't buy it (grew up in a Nintendo house after all) but I would probably consider picking one up. Also old games were better than current games are. Online Passes and, other codes are bullshit, arcades need to come back, blah-blah-blah.

Yeah they're allowed to hit you back. Or block your hit. It's called self-defense. And the person who gets offended decides what's offensive.

The amount of sexism that gets a pass around here sometimes makes me think that people are actively trying to discourage women being here.
Only sometimes it makes me think that. But still.

The gaming community wonders why there are no ladies about, while doing its best to keep them out.

You can probably tell I've had about enough recently.

I think Skyrim is overrated. It does so many things bad that Fallout 3 did right, and that came out right before Skyrim. It also never had any of the kind of moments that really make you want to tell your friends about.

I think it's a fucking awesome movie and one of Tim Robbins most enjoyable performances.

Fuck. Well speaking of the death penalty, I don't think we should have it. Instead I think those on death row should have scientific tests done on them. To specify, the tests that are brought upon animals. It just seems more likely to work and they're being punished for the crimes they commited. Plus a man who murdered one man, could save the lives of millions.

Yeah, and my respect just dropped for you considerably (Not that you may value it but still(Because of what I'm about to say)) I was in fact raised as a protestant, yet that doesn't mean I run around yelling "Praise the lord!" I also have still to read the bible, and I don't think that God went *poof* and man was born. I have my own personal theory's (which are in fact based on scientific facts) Sorry for the rant, its just I thought beliefs could be respected.

I think that universal healthcare is a good idea
Well many parts of the world agree with you.. Here in Denmark we've had free health care for ages now, thinking of a country where health care isn't free is crazy to us. It's reverse over here. No health care is just madness!

My unpopular opinions: I don't mind prostitution, don't see why it shouldn't be legalized. People complain "Oh well they are forced to be prostitutes", well that isn't a problem with prostitution, but instead being robbed of personal freedom, which certainly shouldn't be allowed. Also I don't see why people detest sex with animals. It's not that i condone it myself, but people are against it. I asked my friend recently what his problem was with it (the subject sorta came up), and he said it's sad for the animals, to which i replied they might actually want to (I dunno, a dog humping a leg is usually indication of that). After that he had NO argument.

I also don't see why cannibalism should be immoral. If the person is alive, of course murdering him is not cool, but if dead.. They might aswell bring some use to the rest of us. Then again, I don't think i'd ever taste human meat myself..

Way I've always viewed is Marriage is (or should be) the actual commitment stage of a marriage. Even if you're in a relationship, you should still be free to break it off if you don't feel it's working, and should be able to (though you may not want to) pursue other options and other people. In a relationship where both parties are open Mariage serves a purpose as the point where you say "I've looked and looked, but there's nobody better for me than you and i want to be with you forever".

Admittedly, in many relationships where people are committed to only each other it's kind of pointless, an antiquated rule from the time where you had to be married before you could have sex. However, marriage is still a legal contract that guarantees certain privileges of one spouse to another. For example, upon death, if there is no will, the spouse is the default recipient. Also in many countries only certain benefits may be obtained by married couples, and marriage acts as a visa to stay in the spouses country.

Plus weddings don't need to be big and complicated. You can get married for about $50, all you need is a legally ordained minister, and two witnesses, and takes about 20 minutes. Most however like to romanticize it, so you do get big cermons, with hundreds of attendees and massively expensive costs, as a lot of women, and quite a few men, want the day to be something special, and something perfect.

One child per couple?
What kind of mathematics are you using that leads you to conclude that one child per two people is sustainable?

I'm not going to flame you, honest, but I just want to point out that with the exception of newly industrialising countries like China and India, most '1st World' nations actually have the exact opposite population problem, with people having smaller families later in life for the sake of their careers. Combine this with the baby boomers of the 50's and 60's entering retirement and expecting to live longer than any generation before them, and we have a population distribution that is far too top heavy, with not enough young people to support all the old age pensioners. Italy and Germany are already pretty much at crisis point and other countries like the US and the UK aren't far behind.

So if anything we need to be encouraging young people to have more kids, earlier, and encouraging all the 65+'s to take up skydiving. For the economy of course.

Here's the argument. Penis size.

Depending on the animal involved, a human cock is either too small to be noticed, so the animal wouldn't be overly bothered, or too big and would cause severe internal damage. Human cocks are only designed to fit humans, not ducks or horses. Furthermore animals have different ways of doing things. A dog for instance will become familiar with another dog by sniffing it's butt. This doesn't work for humans, we have an entirely different social protocol.

Furthermore, in the dog example. Dogs don't actually have sex that way. That is merely an attempt to initiate sex. Dogs aren't exactly bright enough to tell what is and isn't a dog when they're horny, but humping is not the act of sex, it's the act of initiating sex. Just because a dog is humping doesn't mean it wants to have sex with your leg, it can be a sign of other things such as close affection, or playfulness.

Animals never really want to have sex with humans. They seldom ever want to have sex with anything that isn't close to their species (very few animals mate outside their species, and then only with similar animals such as lions and tigers, or donkeys and horses). Plus animals lack the ability to know quite whats going on to the same level humans do, and there's no way of definitively knowing if it's something they actually want, or, like in a lot of female animals cases, something that just happens. In nature, a lot of female animals pretty much just lie back and take it, they don't actively pursue it, but they let it happen, because that's how breeding works for them. The males do all the work, so they just sort of stand there and let them do what they have to. If it's in their nature to be complacent and not react when being mated with, how can you actually tell if they want it with their own species, much less a human?
