If it was a dud cig, why would he put it in his pocket, rather than throw it away? Plus, why wouldn't it light?
...because he doesn't like littering?
Considering he just left a burning car in the woods, I doubt it.

It's so weird for me to see them commentating over this. I generally watch Giant Bomb.

This game starts off pretty slow but by the end, it's fucking INTENSE!

I think York there was talking to one of his multiple personalities.
He has just the one.

Very Special Agent Dale Cooper that guy was not.
Man, I love that show. I'm watching it all now.

Hey, a video game twin peaks rip off thing...? I still have no idea what sort of game this would be. Like, what do you actually do?
Solve a crime. It's an open-town game. People walk around and do their daily things (which I really like). You go place to place shooting zombie ghosts (yes) and profile things.

Also, it doesn't rip off Twin Peaks because throughout the game it gives references to it: There's a picture of the opening credits waterfall in York's room and other.

Wow... that was... creepy. And it didn't make a whole lot of sense either. Who was he talking to anyway? And if this is a fairly recent game, why do the graphics look so... off? And why do the squirrels make monkey noises?!

That last line was totally priceless, by the way.

The first cig didn't light guys. hence why he put it away, since it wasn't any use to him at the time.

Judging from how lumpy it was, I'd say it probably got wet. Maybe he put it in his pocket so it could dry out a bit? I mean, can you do that with tobacco, or is it permanently ruined if you get it wet?

I'm assuming the two cigarette thing was because the first one was wet. no clue about the monkey squirrels though.

You can't exactly put a car in your pocket, though.

It's called Alan Wake and it looks a million times better than this horse shit.
Dammit, I just discovered that they changed that to be a 360-exclusive title. Fuck. I actually wanted to play that one, and I don't normally go for horror games.

I remember hearing on some Podcast (one of Destructoid's, natch... they did give this game a 10/10) that they were theorizing that YOU (the guy holding the controller) is supposed to be Zach, because of that strange phone-answering QTE that was precluded by the line "Pick up the phone, Zach". I was expecting a Deadpool-related joke because of that.
...Or maybe I'm the one that's crazy. Still, funny stuff today. But I think we're past "fifth time I died" by now.

This game is awesome, it's fun and unpredictable.
I think most of the people here who thinks it sucks haven't played or just play fps games and couldn't afford anything else but this game.

I wish Yahtzee would review this game and show you guys what it's really about.

Anyone notice there was a "/" right after a question mark in the subtitles? Geeze this looks like a VERY low quality game.
But that's the beauty of it. I can't explain it very well, because it's a game that you just need to play for yourself in order to truly get what I'm saying. It knows that it's bad - but it's just so bad, that it manages to pull it off flawlessly.
I mean, the setting is dull but surreal, the characters are eccentric but interesting, and the dialogue is right out of left field, but crafted masterfully.

It's incredible.[footnote]So says Mr. Stewart[/footnote]

You would think that Deadly Premonition would be a quick cash-in that took maybe a year to develop, where it's actually spent years in development. The earliest point in it's history that I can recall was back in 2007, and research even states that it's been tossed around earlier than that.

As Jim Sterling from Destructoid puts it:
"It stumbles, psychotically, from one unbelievable scene to the next, managing to be shockingly tasteless, flagrantly stupid, and subtly self-aware at all times." [http://www.destructoid.com/review-deadly-premonition-165168.phtml]

Truly a game that shares a tier of brilliance with No More Heroes. A "beautiful trainwreck," if you will.

[sub][sub]And if anyone is at all interested and you do not own an Xbox, it is known as Red Seeds Profile in Japan, and yes, it is English on the PS3. It will cost quite a bit more to import it, but I highly recommend you do so.[/sub][/sub]

I haven't seen dialogue Quick Time Events since Condemned 2...

And he must be talking to his penis.

Is the game any good at all, btw? I mean, it LAUNCHED at 20 USD. It's truly a budget title.
This should answer your question ;)

"It's important to note at this point this is not an old game. Just so you guys know."
"Yeah."
"This is... like came a couple months ago."
"Yeah this is like brand new."
"Yeah."

I was dying. I couldn't stop laughing at that point.
