I have a fear of open water. Partly because of the sheer volume of things like the ocean, but I also fear the ocean creatures. Underwater creeps me out. That and spiders.

Wasn't there a thread about this recently?

Oh well.

Mine is Numerophobia.

I have this odd hatred of the number 5. I can't have anything to do with it.

I can't have it on me. Near me. Be the hour of 5. Or have 5 of something.

I don't mind if someone else has all 5s but when it's on me, I freak out. Almost makes me depressed.

I'm the same way except with the number 2.
Wouldn't the 2 of you have a problem with telling us your fears of the numbers 5 and 2?
Like say i have a problem with 7 would i not have a problem with it being in my post?

Oh and i have a horrible fear of not being able to see the bottom of bodies of water while swimming

Fear of Syfy movies XD

I have a dreaded fear of mosquitos.I can't watch anything with them in it.For example,I just finished watching the first season of Dexter, and had turn away from the screen during the beginning of the intro just because there was a mosquito there

Does Xylophobia count? Fear of wood (splinters,) as in I can not actually brush my skin on a dry wood surface without getting total chills down my back.
oh my dad can't touch wet wood without that happening. same with me except when you rub to Popsicle sticks together i hate that. were not actually scared but we do get those shivers

this girl i know is scared of feet.
Oh that's weird, I'm usually totally fine with wet wood :p But yes, popsicle sticks, and oh my god pencil wood on paper

This girl I know starts freaking out when something's off tune. I'm not sure if it's actually a phobia, but it's nuts. She's obviously got perfect pitch and can spot inconsistencies from a mile away, but it's a good incentive to sing well when around her :D

EDIT: Actually, I'm curious. How exactly would one go about being afraid of feet? Is she afraid of all feet? That's just weird.

I can't get over the idea that others know what I'm thinking at any given time.

Honestly, I watch my THOUGHTS.

Medical needles... needles of any kind... anything that pokes into my veins... I had surgery and I was afraid of having the IV removed from my arm. It was kinda sad, because I was telling the nurse to stop, and I moved my arm around so that she couldn't grab it.

Another thing that I saw that gave me chills came from that series, Last Airbender. Blood-bending. Nyeeeeeeeeeeegh! Your blood pushes your arms FROM INSIDE YOUR VEINS!!! Why do people make fun of me for being creeped out by that?!

I can't stand clowns, but I don't think that's very unusual. One of my friends, however, is deathly afraid of garden gnomes. No joke, they completely freak him out.

Other than the usual spiders and heights, I also suffer from "Beckaphobia", which is where I'm terrified that Glenn Beck might try to start a second American Revolution. I mean, I don't think that is going to fit in my schedule!

I used to have a phobia of doing homework and only homework because my parents were so critical on me.

I hate birds, along with, of course, heights and tight spaces.

My mom, not knowing this, took me on a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. While the first thing listed was not present, the rest were. You can image how that went.
