I would be ecstatic about current-gen remake of Chrono Trigger. I still don't understand why they chose to continue the Final Fantasy series instead of the Chrono series. Other World gets all the cool stuff.anonymity88 said:Yeah me too, especially since the re-releases of them on the PSN sold like hotcakes its obvious that Square can make maximum money with minimum effort.Doom972 said:Sounds like a rerelease of the old PC ports of FF VII (and possibly VIII) with certain additions. I'd say they'll probably just add achievements, higher resolution modes, and fixes that will allow the port(s) to run on Windows VII... I mean 7.
I'd be very surprised if they add anything beyond that.
Personally I'd like to see a fully 3d version of VI or Chrono Trigger but I realise that's never gonna happen.
well only 2 more:DVS BSTrD said:Just how many more signs is the Mayan Apocalypse going to have?
From memory the original pc version didn't have the updated content from the American 7 release mainly ruby weapon, so that will likely be in this new version.anonymity88 said:Yeah me too, especially since the re-releases of them on the PSN sold like hotcakes its obvious that Square can make maximum money with minimum effort.Doom972 said:Sounds like a rerelease of the old PC ports of FF VII (and possibly VIII) with certain additions. If only you could choose not to buy it!Jeremy Meadows said:Jesus christ. Just let this thing die already. I love FFVII, but I stopped buying FFVII stuff after Advent Childern. I dont' understand this whole notion of "We gotta keep buying FFVII stuff cuz it was the best" mentaility. Yes, updated graphics and everything would be nice, but I'm not gonna shell out my money for a exact copy of a game I finished almost 10 years ago. The reason Square doesn't step out of the box more is because people keep gobbleling up anything with FF or Kingdom Hearts in the title. And it's really starting to get annoying.
I'm not. I just wish others could do the same.Crono1973 said:If only you could choose not to buy it!
Yes, yes it was. There was some guy remaking it and I think the page is still up, but it hasn't been updated for months. Had my hopes up for a while.still domirasiel said:Was that the elite type game set on Titan with the solar powered aircraft?Zer0Saber said:I played the PC version of final fantasy VII back on my old Win 98. Oh yeah, 2 GB of hard drive space, the majesty of it. It's such a pain in the ass to play old PC games, so good for steam if they patch it up some. I'm just pissed I can't get Freespace to work. I just want to ask since I'm being nostalgic about old PC games, anyone out there ever play Hardwar. Never met anyone who has, it's still a favorite.
If so, yes I played it, loved it.
