What are they pissed about? People knew Black Ops 2 was coming when they announced Black Ops one.
This was my facebook status on the matter, since I have alot of friends who mindlessly purchase each concecutive CoD game It was partially addressed to them.Don't get too attached to Modern Warfare 3
Oh nononono
Black Ops 2 is comming out >.<
One game every bloody year? NO call of duty! Just NO!
If perhaps, they where actually bringing new things to the table with each installment, as apposed to using the same abysmal formula time and again, I might not care. But in the last few years call of duty has been slowing down innovation and creativity by releasing the same product with a different number on the end, SIX TIMES.
Who the hell is buying this crap?
Stop, seriously you are slowing the development of video games as a medium and respected art form every time you squeeze the puss ridden udders of the Call of Duty cash cow.
Hmm, I think you're right; birds fly, dogs go woof and Activision releases another Call of Duty game every autumn, so what are they so upset about? And why would you want to go to a movie game tie in preview/launch thingy anyway??? The game will suck and be forgotten about in six months, except when people bring it up as one of "those games".Fr said:anc[is]I can't decide which is stupider: Activision thinking we really are that thick, or that not being able to go to a Transformers game preview is some form of punishment.
While I must admit that I agree with you, CoD game releases are incredibly predictable, I found World at War and Black Ops were a lot more involving and generally better than the official CoD games. SO I don't think I'd have a problem with a Black Ops 2, not as much as a problem with MW4 or CoD 5.newwiseman said:Wow another Call of Duty game I'm shocked /sarcasm
Does Activision really think we did't already know another one was coming? While not as stale as Dynasty Warriors I'm seriously tired of CoD games; I haven't bought one since World at War and I'll probably wait another 2-3 games before I decide to get back in.
I would have thanked them. Seriously, have Activision put out anything good aside from Call of Duty and even the quality of The recent games in the series have been questionable. Mayby they're just mad they can't keep studios anymore.Fr said:anc[is]I can't decide which is stupider: Activision thinking we really are that thick, or that not being able to go to a Transformers game preview is some form of punishment.
Hey, let's not forget the dark horse candidate for that position, our friends at Ubisoft.RJ 17 said:Ohhhhh we can't have that! Activision is currently duking it out with EA to decide who gets the crown of "Biggest Bunch of Pricks in the Gaming Industry."sunburst said:Just once, I'd like to see a report about Activision doing something positive or making a good impression. Is that too much to ask?

It won't effect them at all, because those same people later go out and buy it anyway, despite what they said. It happened with the MW2 boycotts, it happened with the LFD2 boycotts, and it happened with origin. Companies keep putting out these things and raising prices because they know that no matter how much the customers complain and claim they'll never buy again, they still do. Sad but true.Waaghpowa said:Well, if they are losing money due to ill will, it's happening slowly. The Skylanders thing is a good example.Quantum Star said:Ill-will or no, they'll still sell a million billion copies of the next Call of Dough regardless. Seriously, since when has bad press ever stopped Activision when it comes to making money?
I work in electronics retail and every day we get about a hundred parents coming in asking for the toys, but we never get any and nobody else has any. Out of that hundred people we get one or two who say [paraphrased]"Fuck Activision and their thinly veiled attempt to increase demand on bullshit toys, I wont buy anything from them anymore". Sure it's only about one or two people a day, but given time and the number of stores world wide, who knows?
I assure you that I am not one of those people. I haven't bought anything from both Activision and Ubisoft and I intend to keep it that way. If only people could stick to their principles.archvile93 said:It won't effect them at all, because those same people later go out and buy it anyway, despite what they said.
