Karma finally caught up to him. Good riddance.

Actually Michael Jackson did few things bad. Only rarely was he "A rapist". The rest was just Stereotypical things people just say he did and other people assume he did. He is also one of the people who still have number one hits.

Very long rant that is likely copied and is certainly bias giving yes and no statements of unclear events.
Reported for the possible copying and the length. If you want to say something about his life then do it, don't carbon copy an essay here.
Shall we report all the posts related to the argument then?
Well each has their own prerogative. I was reporting the length and that it looked to be copied from elsewhere. As far as the content is concerned, say what you want. I was just commenting on the piece saying I thought it was biased.

So if Madonna killed a dozen of people, we wouldn't have to punish her, eh?

I really, really think you should stop... putting "only a rapist" and "he has number one hits" is just plain ignorant.

Who cares what he did? Even if he had cured cancer, being a rapist, and even worse a child abuser won't be absolved by anything.

Also, your comments are dumb,
I think you posted some incredibly biased opinions as fact. Really though I don't want to get into an argument over it. I think that he was horribly exploited and the abuse claims against him were pretty groundless.

I thought the length of your post was way ott and that you may have pasted it from elsewhere, perhaps I am wrong and should not have reported it.

that isn't the way the media operates. They know that a lot of paper's circulation and TV advertising revenue will come from a big Celebrity story. It is human interest, often scandalously titillating (such as in the cases of Heath Ledger or Michael Hutchence) and, most importantly for TV, there will be plenty of pictures (i.e. they get to show old Michael Jackson pop videos, rehash the trial, reinvestigate his childhood, it is a whole sick industry).[...] short, don't expect the media to provide breadth or depth
I know that a lot of the media will just want to make money off the affair though many journalists are likely truly saddened.

if you really feel irritated about the Jackson hoopla, don't blame him for dying, blame the media for building him up, tearing him down, making him into a target for extortion, falsely reporting the trials, continuing with the smears and jokes after he has been acquitted, indirectly financially ruining him and consequently forcing him into a comeback tour when he really ought to have been taking it easy, instead go off and create your own no celebrity fluff news website repeating important Global and Socio-political news with a historical background to each story, timelines and interactive maps. It could be good.
I'm not particularly irritated, I think it's important that they report it I just don't appreciate this idea that we should all be mourning. It is sad that he died, I used to try and learn his dance moves as a kid and wanted to change my name to Michael. He was a hero of mine so I am sad he died and I have great sympathy for him and his family.

Yeah, his children will probably have a hard time being "Michael Jackson's kids".

but something will happen and well like wacko jacko again

i actually do like his stuff :)
I disliked Jade Goody; she was a racist and had a terrible personality. Michael Jackson on the other hand, has done a huge amount for the music industry.

I really hope the media leave them alone, sadly I worry that they won't, and that in a few years they'll be writting about their every waking move.

Holy crap this is crazy. Not him dying but the media's reaction to it. 2 days of wall to wall coverage meanwhile you are in the middle of a war. Got some wacky dude with nukes planning to fire off missiles in your general direction. Another country is going through a civil war and this is the big news. Am I the only one offended by this? Especially since the last big thing he did was go bankrupt and hang his kid over a balconey.

Everyone needs to keep one thought in mind as they think about MJs passing-he made Thriller. To this day, that is still the best-selling album on the planet, and the mans career single-handedly revolutionized how an entire culture markets, purchases, and even looks at pop music. For that, Michael will always be remembered.

Get your head out of your ass, Mr. Holier Than Thou, just because you don't care doesn't mean no one does.
Just because you care doesn't mean he should. See what happened there?

Damn, these celebrity-fans are getting moody today. The more you defend people you don't know, the funnier the jokes will be to people who make fun of them.
I don't care if he cares, but he could be smart enough to acknowledge that it is news. So what if he doesn't care? The world does, therefore it is news.

Because he was one of the most influential people in your/your parents lifetime? Get your head out of your ass, Mr. Holier Than Thou, just because you don't care doesn't mean no one does.
Influential? lol
He made pop music what it is today, so yes, that is influential.

Catherine the Great got to keep "the Great" as part of her name, despite all the rumors of horse-sexing (proven untrue, btw). I'm sure the King of Pop will be known first as the entertainer, and second for his personal life. Just relax - someone's undoubtedly sad to see him go, so let him go in peace for once. The monster is something we the people made of him, as much as he himself was susceptible to the acts he is accused of. History remembers the great, but doesn't forget the sleazy.
