Misleading title is misleading. Above article brings up some fairly good points. Most likely the trademark is just lapsed and Sony will renew it sooner or later.

although on a more positive, if naive, note, it could mean that when the game comes out, it won't be PS3 exclusive and might come to PC

That's disappointing. I was looking forward to seeing how it tied into the other two games. Hard to believe they're letting this one die.

NOOOOO aside, I wonder what's going on here behind the scenes. Obviously team ICO really nailed it out of the park with Shadow of the Colossus (a very rare 10/10 game on my personal scale), so the easy assumption to jump to is they have this amazing third game in development but it's being held back because of this damn money grubbing industry that's only interested in spending big development money on brown & grey shooters. And I hate it as much as anybody when a studio goes under after creating a beautiful game like Okami that while critically acclaimed doesn't actually sell that well.
But for The Last Guardian what if the delay is because the game just simply isn't coming together all that well? I really hate being cynical here, but the hype over this game is almost entirely related to Shadow of the Colossus, and to a lesser extent Ico. Without that associating however and removing the faith from the developers past accomplishments would this game on it's own merit really be worthy of all the hype?
