Well I'm desperately hoping that Sony is being honest when they say the game hasn't been cancelled. This is one of those games that would likely make the whole medium poorer for its absence. In the mean time, I can simply be happy that it is not in fact cancelled.

Honestly, with the amount of paperwork a corporation the size of Sony has, I'm not surprised some things do slip through the cracks, trademarks and all. We've seen worse slip-ups before.

I guess it's back to brown shooters and re-releases then.

Stop getting your panties in a bunch. The trademark has lapsed, not necessarily been abandoned. Even if it was abandoned then it could be for a variety of reasons, such as the team decided to name the game something else. It's still coming out, probably. It will also be terrible, probably. It's a game about baby sitting an NPC. Think of one such game that doesn't suck.

Good point, probably. I wouldn't know because I have not played ICO. Everyone says it's a good game but, then again, everyone says Journey is a good game and therefore I have stopped believing in popular opinion. But for now we'll just go with, "good retort."

Well, I can tell you that The Last Guardian and The Agent will be PS4 exclusives. Think about Agent too, a massive third party exclusive, Rockstar admitted that it is funded by Sony hence they take no risk with it at all, Sony blown up tons of money on it. And why would anyone buy PS4 if they can get these 2 games on PS3? People would just wait for PS4 to go down in price.
