Actually I used to write News for other sites and my own, amoung which was one with over 80000 active forum members. So I actually am in a position from which I can judge. I'm not assuming that it isn't difficult to re-write a news, I know that it isn't difficult.
I'd be interested in reading some of your work, could you provide a link?
I sincerly doubt that you read german Grey. Even if you did, the site doesn't exist anymore and even if it did it would be against the code of conduct for me to link it because it dealt in part with piracy. If you want to read something I wrote, wait a few weeks, like I said, I'll be sending something in, just not news.
I'm sure you still have the files, though. You could just copy/paste the text and PM it to Grey. Easy way around the "piracy" rule, though naturally the German might still be problematic.

Do you make a hobby of keeping old MySQL Databases around? I sure don't and even if I did it wouldn't be worth the effort to dig through it just to prove a point. I'm sure he can wait.
No, but I have plenty of writing samples lying around - even ones from a now-defunct site.
Could it have something to do with you being a professional writer? I'm not a writer, I have no reason to keep things around for a writing portfolio. Even if the escapist were to publish the article I intend to send in I wouldn't consider myself a professional writer. Atleast not in any sense beyond "I got payed for this, therefore professional writing."
Actually, the samples I'm referring to are from when I was doing this as a volunteer, for fun. I've never considered myself a professional writer.
Why do you keep it then? If I have no use for something I don't keep it.
Oh, lots of reasons. To see how far I've come, as a sort of souvenir of the time I spent working for the site in question, as a marker of work I'd done. It's digital, so it's not like it's taking up any space.

I know your game, Arendt.

You plan on framing that stuff and selling it at the Expo, aren't you!

I'm on to you...

The sort of stuff that when you look at, you can't believe how bad it was?

Yeah, I know that feeling. I remember finding a couple of short stories I wrote when I was at school.

They were bloody awful :D

I was hoping someone might clarify if the deadline is midnight heading into Tuesday or end of day on Tuesday.

Thank you!

Oh geez. I just reread my entry after I sent it. I shouldn't have looked at that picture of those cats playing Pokemon immediately before writing it. It tainted my entry.

Late to the party, but I did get something made. I imagine this is what it feels like to submit a dissertation on the deconstruction of the feminine in Edith Wharton's The Age of Innocence.

I mean, if I had ever actually finished that dissertation.

...

I should go.
