I don't use Hotmail, but I think whoever did this should be found and severly prosecuted.

Hackers truly have no lives and no friends - except maybe virtual friends. I dont get why they feel the need to make viruses or hack databases...must be some psychological problem they have.
You know what's wierd... I have less of a problem with Hackers out to make money than those just doing it for the "lulz."

At least the hackers who were after something actually did it for a reason, instead of just doing it to be a asshole.

Spys? Sappin' my account? It's more likely than you think.

In all seriousness though I may not be in the mostly effected area but my name starts with A.

The main problem has been illegitimate instant messaging contacts providing links that phish your password, ones like this for example;

"hi saw this pic of u lastnite cnt believ u did that www.irphishrar.com/phishphishphish"

After clicking on the link you will be asked for your email address and password, if you're stupid enough to enter it then it's your fault, but they catch a lot of the younger computer users more than anything.

Fear mongering and confusion, I guess the escapist isn't much different from mainstream media.
There was no breach, especially if you point out that other e-mail providers are involved. There's no need to change your passwords any more than there was the week before, or the week before that.

Good thing I don't use hotmail =D

Also, agreeing with a past reply, yeah. Hackers are really that pretty. Yes indeed.

Eh, my hotmail accounts are only there to collect spam and so I can use MSN in anycase. If they so desperately want those kind of emails, they can have them.

If this was gMail on the other hand, I'd be panicking.

Thanks for the heads up in any case^^
