Why? We've still got the first one. Its effects, and acting, are adequate.

I think we've already nailed this one, guys.

Bad Warner Bros.! BAD! The Wizard of Oz is one of the sacred movies you're not allowed to make. Even the biggest of dipshit ass-hat directors know better than to remake it. It's sacred! SACRED!
That was my initial reaction when I heard they were remaking The Wizard of Oz. However, since they're using the original script, I'm cautiously slightly less pessimistic.

Director: M. Night Shamalyan.
Starring:
Megan Fox as Dorothy
Shia LeBouf as the Scarecrow
Liam Neeson as the Cowardly Lion
Christian Bale as the Tin Man

Changes made to the script: Dorothy is no longer in Kansas but instead she's a hooker in in the year 2100 Angeles, a world where robotics and cyborgs exist and are widely used. After a nuclear missile launched by the Russians hits its target the subsequent blast coupled with the explosion of an alien craft creates a portal to another dimension that drags Dorothy, the LA Hooker, into it. There, she accidentally kills a super powered half human half robot hybrid that ruled over that part of the world and ends up meeting with the Tin Man, a Cyborg in need of a new power source that lost his wife due to his own greed, the "Lion", a mafia kingpin that had body parts attached to him that belonged to a lion in need of a new heart due to the last one having been damaged after an experiment went wrong and blasted him with radiation and the Scarecrow, a mentally ill person from an asylum scheduled for execution. They all learn that they can return home if they go to the Emerald City, the last bastion of mutated human civilization after the robot uprising. The big twist is that the new world they're in is in fact Earth a thousand years after a nuclear holocaust that destroyed much of the civilized world leaving only robots and mutated humans to survive. The second twist is that the wizard of Oz is in fact a machine who harvests and eats people for survival. The third twist will be Dorothy waking up as a child in her bed, realizing it was just a terrible, terrible nightmare. OR WAS IT?

It's how it's going to be people. Don't deny the inevitable.
That's the kind of silliness good parodies are made of.

Hopefully, this will be directed Quentin Tarantino, with all roles being played by Robin Williams.

Cookie for reference
What if I don't want to guess? What if I have no idea and genuinely want to know the reference? I know I forfeit the cookie, but could you please enlighten me on where this is from?

How about instead of remaking The Wizard of Oz they focus on what I've been saying they should do for months: turn Wicked into a movie!

Waaaaaait a minute... are we talking about the HP Lovecraft story here or are there other mad mountains I'm not yet aware of?
Late response is late. :O

But yes, we are indeed talking about the HP Lovecraft story here. I have seen some other slightly odd mountains in my time, but there aren't many others that could really qualify as mad...

So that means we'll get a Hollywood-produced Lovecraftian horror film? Omgbbq!

Don't you dare sully Liam Neeson's badassery with this parody. He will jump through your computer and kill you with his Jedi/Taken Powers.

I think making the Wizard of Oz 3: Dorothy Goes to Hell would be a better idea. At least then we'd get some lulz out of it. And Shit Pickle. And SUPER MECHA-DEATH CHRIST 2000BC Version 3.0 Beta (*****!).
