You need to calm down and get a hold of yourself, as does everyone who is immediately putting this movie down.

For one, there is no way Uwe Boll will have a career anymore if he makes a disrespectful Auschwitz movie.

Two, this isn't a video game movie so he doesn't have any leeway to screw up the story.

I liked Postal, it had the kid from The Christmas Story in it, and it had some laughs. It was crazy over the top and pretty good I thought. Im worried he might go over the top with this one, and not in the good way Postal did. Im not going to judge till it comes out, having bad work in the past doesnt mean all of his work is bad so who knows, this may be a masterpiece

Wow just wow a German film maker known best for his horrible video game adaptations and wiliness to add tasteless content into his films is making what looks like a hostel style torture film about the Auschwitz Nazi death camp. I see lynch mobs in his future.

He is abusing loopholes so that he always makes money on his films, whether they bomb or not.

I fear the worst. Up until now, Uwe Boll has just made bad movies about games. As much as most of us hate hi for this, it has at least done no real damage. But making a film about the Holocaust some kind of sick torture movie based on its shock value, and this is sadly what I expect it to be, is really just disrespectful.
Why would any half sane man do this?

Have you, by any chance, seen the Saw films? Because they have nothing going for them besides being 'sick torture' movies.

I think Uwe Boll kind of gets a bum rap from people. Let's not deceive ourselves into thinking that Postal, Bloodrayne, and Farcry had great source material for a movie director to work with. Sure Bloodrayne was awful, but Kristanna Loken did get naked, so not a complete loss. Postal was actually kind of fun if viewed properly.

That aside, not sure how many have actually seen Uwe Boll's "Rampage", but it's actually a good movie. Not a good movie for Uwe Boll, but a good movie in general. If Rampage is any indication than Auschwitz should be fairly disturbing and make everyone feel pretty uncomfortable, as well it should.

I think it's a good move for him (and for us all) that he moves away from video game movies, gamers are just hyper-defensive and damn near impossible to please.

Its still a German man making torture porn out of the fucking Auschwitz Death camp, You can't just giggle that away with the "Well it's suppose to make people uncomfortable" argument.

trust me it is a big deal. I myself am part German and I know of at least one of my relatives that was an SS officer and I makes me sick, strangely on that same side of the family I have Jewish blood in me as well because the brother of the SS officer married a Jewish woman fled to America and had children.

That really does sound bad. Like sickeningly so.
Here we have a director famed for making moronic and low quality dumb horrible movies attempting to cover a very dark and serious issue like the Concentration camps.

I predict some really nasty controversy and for the first time in a long time, I think it'll be justified.

Sure, Uwe Boll slaughters game-licenses and makes terrible movies out of them. But his movies aren't bad if what you are looking for are decent B-grade action movies. They are just terrible at actually conveying the strong points of the games they are supposed to be based on.

I can't speak for Rampage or anything else Uwe Boll has done, but I personally give him the benefit of doubt until the first reviews come in telling us that his Auschwitz movie is an afront to humanity.

If you were trying to make him look worse you failed utterly, because I for one find it funny as hell that he challenges his critics to boxing matches.

Wrong. He challanges the critics he knows he can beat to boxing matches.
Anyone who looks like they might possibly have a chance mysteriously goes without challenge. And when they seek out matches, he declines.

Do me a favour, people of the Escapist. Do not go see this movie. Do not give this prick money to continue making movies.
He's not just ruining games anymore. He is insulting the memories of everyone who suffered in concentration camps.
