And that's why I don't like them. Not that it would matter, it's just my personal opinion. But having the same kind of movie about Auschwitz really is an area I'd prefer not to go to.Outlaw Torn said:Have you, by any chance, seen the Saw films? Because they have nothing going for them besides being 'sick torture' movies.Avayu said:I fear the worst. Up until now, Uwe Boll has just made bad movies about games. As much as most of us hate hi for this, it has at least done no real damage. But making a film about the Holocaust some kind of sick torture movie based on its shock value, and this is sadly what I expect it to be, is really just disrespectful.
Why would any half sane man do this?
Try watching the teaser.ANImaniac89 said:Its still a German man making torture porn out of the fucking Auschwitz Death camp,
On the upside, if he does that he'll go to jail.ANImaniac89 said:Its still a German man making torture porn out of the fucking Auschwitz Death camp, You can't just giggle that away with the "Well it's suppose to make people uncomfortable" argument.
Yes, one of his most vocal critics practised Muay Tai and Jujutsu and was actually a fair fight for him Uwe Boll refused to fight with him. Not that I'm implying Uwe Boll is a coward as well as a rubbish film maker, except, no wait I am.Monkfish Acc. said:Wrong. He challanges the critics he knows he can beat to boxing matches.Hardcore_gamer said:If you were trying to make him look worse you failed utterly, because I for one find it funny as hell that he challenges his critics to boxing matches.Monkfish Acc. said:No. He is really not. Anyone who looks like they might possibly have a chance mysteriously goes without challenge. And when they seek out matches, he declines.
The famous catscene is from Postal and it was Part of the Game so it wasnt even Boll's idea.Outlaw Torn said:The part of this I find most intriguing in the part about the cat's anus. Does that really happen in Bloodrayne? I might have to actually play it now.
Anyway, I don't see what the fuss is about. He wants to make a gorey, gruesome film and is going to use subject matter that people are going to get riled up about for publicity. If he made a film about 11/9 would everyone be as pissed at him?
ANImaniac89 said:mindlesspuppet said:I think Uwe Boll kind of gets a bum rap from people. Let's not deceive ourselves into thinking that Postal, Bloodrayne, and Farcry had great source material for a movie director to work with. Sure Bloodrayne was awful, but Kristanna Loken did get naked, so not a complete loss. Postal was actually kind of fun if viewed properly.
That aside, not sure how many have actually seen Uwe Boll's "Rampage", but it's actually a good movie. Not a good movie for Uwe Boll, but a good movie in general. If Rampage is any indication than Auschwitz should be fairly disturbing and make everyone feel pretty uncomfortable, as well it should.
I think it's a good move for him (and for us all) that he moves away from video game movies, gamers are just hyper-defensive and damn near impossible to please.

and before anyone asks "well why are you making such a big deal about his nationality ?"
trust me it is a big deal. I myself am part German and I know of at least one of my relatives that was an SS officer and I makes me sick, strangely on that same side of the family I have Jewish blood in me as well because the brother of the SS officer married a Jewish woman fled to America and had children.
