To be honest I'd rather be in the bleak, zombie-less cold than the zombie-filled cold. Fewer zombies, and it seems, unlike the rest of these forums, I'm not too fond of Zombies.

Apple is a way more inherently evil company than Microsoft.

Apple TRIED to to dominate the industry.

Microsoft got it by luck and good business sense.

Oh well, guess I have nothing to do but rip Helios's head off and pull a centaurs intestines out, while you guys get to play Resident Evil 5 again. Poor me. Heh heh heh.

And its interesting to see Valve actually embracing their falling from quality.
Oh please. "Embracing their falling from quality"? Give me a break :p

Who had a spotless record before they started working with Microsoft, and now.....do not? And who made what is regularly called the greatest multiplayer shooter of all time, and then released the biggest disappointment of all time? If it can happen to Rare, it can happen to anyone.
I didn't know Valve made Daikatana.

Wha?
You said biggest disappointment of all time.

They don't come bigger than Romero, pal.
One of. The way people are continually referring to Perfect Dark Zero.....
...PDZ was Rare. Not Valve.

Which game of Valve's are you referring to as the biggest disappointment of all time? I'm fairly sure they've got a pretty stellar track record still.

Dingo... we went through this before. Who you work for does not determine the quality of the games you make. Valve has always been a PC dev first and foremost anyway...

Also, show me this "biggest disappointment of all time." I'm curious to see what game you're referring to.

Well, Valve knows best, right? :D

Really, I hate this whole hate towards Microsoft for being a good company doing what companies do best - make money.
Finally, a voice of reason on the internet.

Stop getting confused by the damn analogy.

Before they started working exclusively with Microsoft, Rare had one of the best track records in industry history, having managed to master two genres that were at complete odd ends. They then started working exclusively with Microsoft, and we all know the rest of the story. Valve are now saying they will work exclusively with Microsoft.
You don't think that Rare's fall from grace had anything to do with the fact that most of their titles star cute, fuzzy mascots which gamers have been shying away from for the last console generation? Since Valve focuses on adult-oriented titles, they aren't as likely to have that problem.
