Maybe I should have italicized or added an emote, as my sarcasm was apparently lost-Zen- said:No?Fenixhart said:Just this site?-Zen- said:For quite a few other people on this site, those two are the same.Fenixhart said:Sounds like some people confuse "Evil" with being a business.
I'm pretty sure that Gamespot, GameFAQs, and other sites have people who think like that.
Unfortunately it was. Text is a somewhat flawed medium when trying to combine sarcasm and brevity. Unless you add "/sarcasm" to the end of your post.Fenixhart said:Maybe I should have italicized or added an emote, as my sarcasm was apparently lost
They are a legitimate company and they are good at making money through legitimate means same as Sony.Psychosocial said:Well, Valve knows best, right?
Really, I hate this whole hate towards Microsoft for being a good company doing what companies do best - make money.
Agreed. Also see: Apple.Psychosocial said:Well, Valve knows best, right?

Oh, come on. Questionable comparisons to Mao Zedong [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/7.116627.2209340], a roaring rage (with caps!) when people don't think that your favourite company is any better than the others [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.107056?page=4]. My personal favourite was an insult on the first page of a thread, then denying that insult ever happened on the same damn thread. And we're supposed to believe you're the reasonable one here? I refrain from insults but really, I've yet to see a thread here where you've made a positive contribution to the discussion at hand.Indigo_Dingo said:See what I mean? Either batshit or braindead. Or perhaps both - there are a lot of incompetent unhinged people out there, and it makes more sense for you to be one of them.AceDiamond said:Of course I know I might as well be talking to a wall here. A wall that accused Valve of stealing from Killzone.
Gabe Newell also has some pretty close ties with the guys in Redmond, what with being a former developer there for 10 years and all.Newsbit said:Maybe it has something to do with Gabe Newell thinking the PS3 is a waste of time, but Faliszek says that no, the team at Valve simply has a fairly close relationship with their colleagues in Redmond - in fact, as Faliszek describes it, many of Microsoft's marketing staff are hardcore L4D players.
Hi there. I'm Caimekaze, a "traditional" gamer who has given and still gives two shits about the Wii's lineup.Indigo_Dingo said:everyone appreciated the Playstations games, while no traditional gamers give two shits about the Wii's lineup.
Oh come off it. We were saying generally bad jokes, you were offended by mine. I apologised, you were particularly magnanimous in your acceptance of my apology, what with the walking off and ignoring me and all; that had nothing to do with the situation at hand.Indigo_Dingo said:Almost as much as someone assuming no-one in a group of people would have a loved one affected by epilepsy when telling a joke about it.
This I don't dispute; the Wii, while it has it's gems, definitely plays second fiddle to my console of choice, the Playstation. Two.Indigo_Dingo said:Hyperbole aside, you must agree that in terms of their ability to appeal to staple gamers from before its influence, the Wii is definitely not the Playstations equal.
Not wanting to support a sequel when Valve has yet to finish the first game and deliver on their promises doesn't make one a whiny retard.Gormers1 said:Kind of scary how many people who joined the "boycott L4D 2" group on steam. Not that valve will care, but makes it look like the community consists of whiny retards.
And no I think I actually like Microsoft over Nintendo and Sony, but their marketing strategy can be a bit "offensive sometimes" (make you pall loads for hard drives, pay for map packs for their games etc).
The first game isnt finished? Why is that? I bought the game for cheap a couple of weeks after release, and have played and enjoyed it it more with my friends that most other games. Anyway, why is it not finished? As stated, they will still continue to support it through patches as they have done, and they added more content to the game like time trial not long ago. The game was loads of fun upon release, and there was nothing wrong with the game then, so I dont see why it isnt finished. It was a short yeah, but it was cheap, and the replayability was very high. The Youth Counselor said:Not wanting to support a sequel when Valve has yet to finish the first game and deliver on their promises doesn't make one a whiny retard.Gormers1 said:Kind of scary how many people who joined the "boycott L4D 2" group on steam. That's my main problem with it too. I simply can't accept that a company as big as MS would release it broken and then pretend to put a normal product on the market. I'll never get one just because of that.Mornelithe said:The problem I have with the 360 though, other than it's irrelevance to my life, is how not only is it a shoddy piece of crap (The console, not the games that go on it), but that MS knew about these problems, and still released it. Look, I don't care if they come to your house pack it up for you, and bring it back to the company for free. What I care about, is the machine fails at what it's MADE to do. No, it doesn't happen with every one, but it happens, and happens allot. In the 80's and 90's America lead the world in QA DEMANDS. And to see how much that's changed in 10 years is quite shocking.
