So now it's overly expensive, and a waste of time. Well, now I really don't want one...not that I did in the first place.

the PS3 is realy the inferior system if you think about it otherwise valve would have been able to make the same exact content on it as the 360 and PC
Or they're lazy. Yeah, lazy seems more likely.

Look, the system with The Last Guardian is the superior system. There's no pussyfooting around that, if Team Ico is making games for it it is better than all others. Valve refusing to actually learn something new shows something about them rather than the Ps3.
I'm sure you know this, but Team Ico are not the deciders of all that is quality. They're just a team of talented folks who know how to get the most out of the system(s) they're used to programming for. Besides, Ico was a pretty heavily-flawed masterpiece. Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Phantom Dust and Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes. All of these were Xbox original exclusives, and I would consider ANY of them better than Ico (better than SotC is another matter, however.)

Still, Valve should just come out and say it if they have no intention of programming anything for the PS3. I don't "get" all this console hatred/preference (to me, it's all about the games and nothing else), but if a company doesn't choose to program for a certain system that's their call to make. SEGA's Shinobi for the PS2 was an exclusive. They could have put it on Xbox easily, but chose not to. That was their decision.

As for which system is the "best," I think it's too early to call that now. A game system is ONLY, I repeat ONLY as good as its library. The PS2 was the best last-gen console purely because it had the biggest lineup of quality games.

It's ok, I understand you don't really have any other valid response beyond sophomore insults, apparently the culmination of everything you learned using the internet since 1989 (which would be about 2 decades, Al Gore).

But I do see how I misconstrued your last statement with being directed at Valve and not me. I tend to assume such comments are directed at me when they are in the same PARAGRAPH as other statements directed at me.

I'll adjust myself to your veteran commenting style in the future.
The internet's been around allot longer than Al Gore, dude. It started off in military use, and expanded to private companies. Learn your history before you attempt to have an adult conversation.

My apologies about the confusion over the last paragraph however, I'll work harder in the future, to bring my writing down to at least a 3rd grade level so you can have a chance of comprehending it, and responding without making yourself look as young as you really are.

Of course it has. But I doubt you were lording around on internet forums on it back in 1989. 2 decades ago, you probably didn't know what the INTERNET WAS. That was my point, but apparently you missed it, saturated in all that sarcasm.

But yes, please bring your writing down to a 3rd grade level so that it will make more sense in the future.

Well, I can see where this is going. I'm just going to drop my official opinion and then leave, and never come back.

Valve is a company. They may seem like a "For the gamer" kinda thing, but at the end of the day, the employee's have to sell games to feed their families. Therefore, whatever route is profitable enough for them, they shall take it. Games take months, even years, to make and test, not to mention Valve is currently swamped in several different projects. Therefore, making a Left 4 Dead port to the PS3 is not a good move, because it has to be the same quality and have the same support that the other two have.

This would be difficult. Not only will valve have to build the game using the PS3's code, they also have to test it out again, which will take months to find and fix enough bugs to make it profitable. After-Release ports never really do well, I can only think of Bioshock at the moment as one that did well.

Believe me, PS3 owners, you'd be even more pissed off if Valve made a half assed port that ended up full of glitches, and never got any support. The PC version has frequent Free Play weekends, why don't you guys try it out?

*Dons hat, hops on horse, and leaves thread.*

Yea, that's what I thought too.

Valve: Either make up your mind and say it like you mean it or just shut the fuck up about PS3 development already. It's a matter of principle.

Right now they just sound like whiny, insecure idiots.

valve also needs to hurry up with the DLC for TF2 on the 360 they talked about it like two years ago and its still not done
No Fanboyism there, not one bit.

The reason they had different result on the ps2 and ps3 was BECAUSE they used an outside company. Hell, they don't like ps3 because MS pays them better, and I can't say as I blame them. MS isn't no slouch when it comes to marketing, but which it come to the actual product sony seems to do amazing things. I'd bet money if we had Mirco Sony we'd have decently affordable consoles that are so technically advanced it would rock the wii off it high horse, but untill that day comes were stuck with companys that pick which side they want to be on. Valve likes MS, be that as it may. We've got naughty dog, Insomnia, and the guys that made sly cooper. That may sound uneven, but I'll be damned if Vavle isn't one of the best Game producers out there.

It seems silly to get mad at a game developer because they won't put develop games for a certain console. I have to buy a PS3 to play Heavy Rain but I am not mad at Quantic Dream for not developing it for the 360 or PC.

Valve doesn't want to spend the extra time and money developing for a console that has smaller profit margins than their current platforms. Seems fair to me.
