You couldn't make it serious. But the gaming movie equivalent of Monty Python would be what this would turn out as.

and I think I'd bloody love to see it happen.

Just adding another year or so to the development of Episode 3 :(

Along with Left 4 Dead 2 which probably added ANOTHER year to Episode 3
No. Just... No.

Game development, or any kind of development, doesn't work like that. Particularly if theres multiple games being made. There are such a thing as multiple teams working on projects - its the same as any buisness model. I doubt the ENTIRE organisation was working on L4D, or HL2. I'd severely doubt it, at any rate....

Seriosly though i slightly agree with chris22533 it would have to be something like red vs. blue but i think it should still be by valve.

A series of 10 minute videos would be great, but I don't see how a feature-length movie could possible work.

I don't think an actual movie would work. A collection of hilarious shorts, maybe. A movie, no.
This pretty much.
Anything over 30 mins would just kill it.
However, a series of relatively short shorts with a proper story would be insanely awesome.

Sweet!, they're all suprisingly characterised for an online FPS game. Should be funny and violent with no coherent plot. Just my type of film.

I actually had an idea for what they could do for the movie. Pretty much, the Announcer is under threat from the RED and BLU corporations, who want all her land, which is rich with oil and water. The two Company's both send in armies in order to find her and take her land. The Announcer is forced to hire a band of Elite soldiers from around the world to try and stop the two encroaching armies. So the soldiers go off and start fighting against the two armies, by disguising themselves as either RED or BLU soldiers. The movie finally goes on to reveal that the RED and BLU armies are both working on secret weapons to win the War. BLU have constructed massive Walkers, which are decimating the country side. The RED army however, is trying to construct a Nuclear Bomb, which will wipe out all life in the area and allow them to harness the resources unhindered. The only problem is that they need a powerful element called Quazarium, which is mostly in the hands of the BLU army. But the efforts of the Elite soldiers has allowed the REDs to get their hands on enough to make the Bomb. The Team makes a deal with the BLUs to wipe out the REDs, and are given personalized Walkers to go and destroy the RED base and their Bomb. They succeed in stopping the bomb, but the war is far from over, as at the end as the team is celebrating at the Announcer's property, The Leader of the RED armies is shown, with a huge army behind him. The final words that he utters "If you want something killed right, You have to kill it yourself". This suggests a Sequel to the Movie and shows that they have not stopped the war, but have made it last longer.

I thought that it would be cool if there was no Pyro in the first Movie, and instead they had a Tactical support Guy who helped them out. The Pyro would come in the Second Movie, as a local man of the Area. At one point in his life, Pyro (His real name in the Movie) was a firefighter in his town. When he tried to go save some people in a burning building, which was caused by the REDs, Pyro was severly burned, despite his fireproof suit. The suit became merged with his skin and now is only able to talk properly with his Daughter, Sparky, by using a special one way communication device embedded in Pyro's Mask. The recieving end is seared into Sparky's ear, which is why she always goes into battle with him armed with two smaller flamers, which can also shoot oil and water. There was also another plot where ther was a third army called GOLD (Growing Organization of Luducris Destruction.) who were a bunch of soldiers who had found out why they were actually fighting, and decided to form a new group and take all the resources for themselves. I thought it would be a good Idea that in the second movie, the RED general was the main villian, but in the third movie, it was the GOLD army, or the Yellow Team, as they are known by the locals. If this idea for a three part Team Fortress Movie didn't work, they could just turn it into Team Fortress 3, and give it a storyline for once.
